  1. Has anyone with a 2014 5.3 and the Corsa towed with it yet? Just wondering how loud it is with the extra load. I don't mind it getting loud on steeper grades, I just don't want it rattling the cab on every overpass.
  2. Just installed the AFE intake on my truck and had the same thing happen. Must have something to do with it detecting that teh MAF was unplugged? Who knows. Like yours it only did it on the first start and has been normal since.
  3. Great idea and nicely documented!
  4. I'd wait and see if it ever falls out. If it does maybe just a tiny drop of hot glue on each end to affix it to the wires. It would still be easily removable but shouldn't go anywhere. On another note all the free diodes are now released into the wild!
  5. Installed a 5 cent diode to make the fog lights stay on with the high beams thanks to Spurshots research. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/162734-foglights-on-with-high-beams/?p=1476822
  6. Diodes came in, broke a lead on the first one getting it into the connector, the second one I figured out if you wiggle the wire while pushing down on the lead it'll go a bit easier. Works just fine for me, turning on highs gets you fogs at the same time.
  7. I want to install a quick connect so I can unhook the camera from the tailgate and connect a different camera (On the back of my camper) once I'm hitched up. I found the schematics, I just need to do a little testing of the pinouts. It will be interesting to see what a different camera looks like on the same display.
  8. I'm not planning on sending out 100 one at a time... I'm going to send ~20 of them to four different people then post who I sent them to. If they want to keep all 20 for themselves I'm not stopping them. However the hope is that they would just take out a few then send the rest to others. I'm out like $5 if the first four are all selfish, I've got far more value than that out of the forums though. If it works though maybe 30 people get diodes for the cost of a stamp and envelope.
  9. This is the one to avoid. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-Chevy-Silverado-LED-Third-Brake-Light-Smoke-Tint-3rd-Tail-Lamp-New-/281288674499? Really too much effort to install and make look decent. Hopefully someone will release one that has the back designed correctly and has a plug installed.
  10. Yeah but Radio Shack is $1.50 for one. I got 100 for $4 something. I'm planning to pass the extras around. ;)
  11. I just ordered a pack of 100 diodes off Amazon for less than it would of cost me to drive to Radio Shack and buy one. Once I get them in I'll give this a shot.
  12. Installed a spare tire lock and the less than perfect 3rd brake light. I had the brake light too long before I realized all the issues so it was too late to return it. A little elbow grease and it works fine, I'd recommend waiting for a better product though and save some effort.

Fit is fine and the seal is engaged all the way around.

I cut down some wider gasket material I had to make the light waterproof. The rear plate on the light also needs removed to make it fit tighter.

Had to use a razor knife to bevel the bottom edge to get a closer fit.
  18. We have a Pet Tube http://www.petego.com/category/24/Car/product/121/PetTubeCarKennel which I stumbled across while looking for crates that would fit through the back doors of my double cab. It works great in the double cab since it completely fills the area between the front and rear seats. The bottom is a coated nylon that keeps any liquids that might escape off the seats and the top is a nice open mesh so the dogs can see and get lots of air. The dogs like it and it keeps them from trying to get up front with us and lets me put the windows down, which really helps when hooking up the trailer.
  19. Napkins? I keep a full roll of paper towels in the center console. (Fits perfectly BTW) Of course we have a dog that gets carsick fairly often.
  20. My 2014 All Terrain hooked up to the camper and ready to roll.
  21. There is another pic in the Tail Lights thread. I'm waiting for dark to take more pics... http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/159928-aftermarket-led-taillights/page-11
