  6. I see you went with the MT instead of AT. What made you change your mind? Looks nice. Perfect setup IMO.
  7. Also realize that there is Open Country AT and Open Country AT2. I have the AT on my truck. The AT is an older model and some places still carry them. The sidewall is less aggressive looking on the AT than the AT2. Just be aware.
  8. Had a pleasant day with the truck today. Took it to the dealer to get recall work performed and pick up license plates. Also had them look at a blemish in the paint on the drivers door that I didn't notice until after the first wash. Got to the dealer and they checked their records and recall work had already been done while it was on the lot waiting to be sold. I didn't have high hopes for the blemish as I expected them to tell me that it was tree sap or bird poop from my house and I would be SOL. But they had their paint guy look at it and confirm that it was bird poop; he took it in the back for 5 minutes and buffed it out right then. So what I was expecting to be a long day at the dealer turned into a short morning.
  9. Installed a 1" bottom mount strut spacer to go along with my top mount 1.5" strut spacer in the front. Groud to center of fender before: Rear = 40" Front = 38.5" Ground to center fender after: Rear = 40" Front = 39.5" Finally happy to have gotten rid of the rake and riding pretty much level now.
  10. The rear is only 38 3/4" ? The rear on my Z71 before tires is 39 1/2". It is 40" now with the 33s.
  11. IMO, they're all the same when it comes to leveling kits. I mean, how much R&D do you need on a metal puck, really? I have the Pro-Comp 1.5" spacer (actually .80") that mounts on the top of the strut. I bought it from Four Wheel Parts for $150 because it was the only place that had anything in stock and I needed it that day. I just ordered a 1" bottom strut mount spacer off of eBay for $25 and I'm pretty sure it's the same material. If I had to do it over, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a no name spacer kit for half the cost. A lot of what you're paying for is the name on the box. Now, as someone else earlier in this thread pointed out, things change when you go above just spacer leveling kits and start getting into actual lift kits. These actually do have some R&D built into them to measure angles and where to notch frame and whatnot. If I was going to go that route, then I'd put a little more stock into a trusted name.
  12. The Rough Country kit with the front spacers and rear blocks is $149. I would think the one for $68 would be front spacers only.
  13. If you look back a few pages in this thread, these exact questions have been answered. Sent via Samsung Note II
  14. That's a good looking truck. Definitely going to get that extra 1" spacer for mine to get it level like yours. Love the wheels also. Sent via Samsung Note II
  15. My pics are a few pages back in this thread.
  16. I'm thinking tire size is going to factor into this equation as well because there is definitely a difference in height between mine and yours and mine is a smaller lift size. 1.5" Pro-Comp lift - front spacers only 275/70R18 Toyo Open Country AT (33") Before: Front = 36.5" Rear = 39.5" After: Front = 38.5" Rear = 40" This was measured after driving for a few days and after alignment to correct toe. Looking at a side profile, I can definitely tell there is a rake from back to front and it is not level. This is why I am planning on adding a 1" spacer for the bottom strut mount that should put it much closer to the rear measurement.
  17. Assuming the Sierra stock wheels are the same width and offset as the Silverado wheels (8 inches and 31, respectively), the 275/70/18 will fit without a doubt. The 295s on the other hand, may have some slight rubbing issues and/or trimming necessary due to the width.
  18. Got the windows tinted today. 32% on the front driver and passenger side windows, 32% over existing factory privacy glass in the rear passenger and rear window. Also got an alignment since I put the leveling kit on Friday afternoon.
  19. Pro-Comp 1.5" level, front spacer only 275/70R18 Toyo Open Country AT So basically, this was the only lift I could find to purchase in all of Houston. Everywhere else wanted to install it for $300 - $400. One guy even quoted me $700! LOL. Anyway, I bought it and installed it in a buddy's garge in about 2 hours (removed front air dam as well). Measured it today and front still sits 1.5" lower in the front than the rear (38.5" vs. 40"). Found a seller on eBay that has a 1" lower strut mount for $35, so I'll be ordering it soon as well as 2" blocks for the rear to replace the 1.25" stock blocks.
  20. New member here. Picked this upon Friday morning. Installed a 1.5" Pro-Comp leveling kit on it Friday afternoon with 275/70R18 Toyo Open Country AT and removed front air dam. Had the window tint done this afternoon. 32% in the front and 32% in rear on top of factory privacy glass. Also, has bucket front seats and 8" MyLink with Bose sound package.
  21. Crew Cab LT Z71, non 4WD and I have steel. Definitely sounds random, but I bet there's some minute configuration that determines what it gets.
  22. Honestly, just cutting expenses. My new payment is $200/month lower than what I was paying for my Platinum. It wasn't a Ford vs. Chevy thing either, I really liked my F-150 but I didn't want to trade it in on a 2014 F-150 lower trim model since the redesigned 2015 is coming out later this year and I really couldn't wait that long to cut costs, so this was the best option.
  23. My previous vehicle was a 2012 F-150 Platinum with a sticker price of $52,000. After two years of ownership, I realized that I didn't use a lot of the features that came with the truck. It was nice having some of them, but not absolutely necessary. I got just about everything I really need with my 2014 LT and paid $33,000 for it. Sent via Samsung Note II
