  1. I dont think it matters on a monotube style shock.
  2. I have read numerous instances were folks say the 5100 is less stiff on the bottom setting compared to highest setting. Makes sense since it wouldnt be pre loaded at all.
  3. Wow that is expensive. I just got all 4 installed for $150.
  4. All 4 shocks were $340.
  5. I kept my level kit on and just did the Bilstein 5100s at stock setting. Corners and rides so much better!
  6. What setting do you have the 5100s at? And they are on the 2 inch block correct?
  7. What size are the Toyos?
  8. Roadwire is much tighter than Katskinz. My local shop switched to Roadwire because of the tight look right away. No slop at all after install.
  9. Just had 5100s installed all 4. Wow what a difference!!!!! i had the black shocks and at 50,000 miles they were toast! I had the 2 inch Rough Country spacer on also......It was riding terrible!! What an absolute difference I really am impressed. Thing is though the shop installed the Blisteins at the stock setting and kept the spacer on, however it rides so good i think i will just keep it as is. It rides better than it ever did.
  10. Great! Look forward to them thanks!
  11. Do you mind measuring just how much rake you have? Ground to fender front and back? about to do the same set up but was hoping for about an inch of rake.
  12. No tire theory bud. Fact. LT tires ride rougher then P tires.
  13. Your harsh ride is because of the LT tire not the level. 10 ply tire rides rough compared to stock tires. See a lot of guys thinking the rougher ride is due to the level and not the LT tires they just added too.
  14. That angle is crazy steep looking! I have the RC 2 inch front only and its not even close to that! Do you have other mods? Different shocks?
  15. How many miles are you guys going before replacing ball joints with just a level up front? I have the 2 inch RC front level only.
  16. No rubbing at all. Might be able to go bigger but i knew 285/65/18 would not rub for sure so just went with them.
  17. I have a 2014 crew cab standard bed and mine came with 3inch rake from the factory. just did the Rough Country 2 inch level in the front so now only 1 inch rake. Looks great! I too did the 285/65/18 Toyo Open Country AT2s. LOVE those tires!
  18. Great. But what are your mods?
  19. Nitto is a niche company under Toyo still. Same rubber fellas. Thats why both tire brands are so awesome.
  20. Will a 285/65/18 on stock rim rub with a 2 inch level? There has to be someone on here that has done that??
  21. I have the stock 18s with a 265/65/18 tire on it. Can I go 285/65/18 on the stock rim without a level kit? Or is a level kit is a must to fit that tire?
  22. I sure wouldnt call a good catback noisy. Some guys (including myself) just love that V8 exhaust note!! Music to my ears. Stock it was non-existent....I HATED how quiet it was.
