  1. At 64k miles on my 2020 RST Z71, I need to find the part number for replacement front brake pads. The part number I can see is 84738647, it's the same on both wheels, that leads me no where. I'll go OEM/Acdelco for the replacements. I just keep running myself in circles trying to find the right replacement pads. I'm looking for the pads, clips and sensor. I've found: 85663434, 84847749, 14D2173CH, 14D2173CHF1, among others... so which one is it?
  2. almost beyond 36k miles and haven't taken the truck in yet for my own noise issue. i'm 99.9% sure it's the same thing everyone else has had; driver's side stub shaft is loose compared to the passenger side, when in 2wd and ambient temperature is warmer than 65 degrees or so, it'll squeak, and when it's in auto or 4wd, it goes away and is silent. anything i need to know to tell the dealer? specific bulletin or replacement part?
  3. I have a '20 rst z71 Silverado with the 20 inch stock wheels and goodyear tires. After having trouble the last couple weeks in the rain--28k miles and normal tire wear for the mileage, they don't seem to stick in hardly any rain situation now. When I initially bought the truck 2 years ago, I was going to get black wheels later on.. I just never got around to that. Since I'm DONE with these tires(plus I've got nail holes in 2 of them that don't seem to leak), I thought I might as well look for wheels too. I'm looking for a black wheel the same size as the stock 20s that came on it.. I don't want to have to get everything recalibrated to a new wheel or tire size. I like the way the trail boss wheels are, but they're 18s. I'm not doing a lift or level or anything, just want black wheels that wont' have to have any spacers or anything. Hopefully something that isn't weak or too heavy. I've never got after market wheels before and don't exactly know where to start looking, and how about to get the tire pressure monitoring sensors put in the new wheels(would i have to buy those separate or would they move my old ones to the new wheels.)
  4. i figured when i traded my '14 silverado that the LEDs would be night/day difference, but other than the 'color', that's all i've seen. I do half of my driving at night, so i need to have more vision down the road for suicidal deer. I'm afraid the only way to upgrade them is to get entire headlight replacements.. housing and all. I also don't like how focused the beam is. I don't want to blind oncoming drivers, but if something like a deer is 5 ft to the side of the truck, about 50 ft away, I can't really see it.
  5. i definitely have this too. 2020 z71 crew with 11k miles. it's definitely occasional, as it takes a while for it to make the noise and seemingly doesn't make the noise other times. now i know where to pinpoint the issue when i take it in. definitely goes away when i put it into 4x4. no idea what it's called, but the metal part out from the transfer case that connects to a rubber boot is 'loose' on the drivers side, and tight on the passenger side.
  6. I have a 2020 Silverado RST z71 and am having a different noise pop up. It happens after I've been driving for a little while, 15 minutes or so, and it sounds like a higher pitched metal on metal grinding noise. No noise at all when I start driving, but it seems like once heat builds up, it starts to grind. I don't think it's a bearing, I've heard that noise before and it's not really the same. It doesn't vibrate the steering wheel or brake/gas pedals, I'm pretty sure it's on the front end and not the rear wheels, and it definitely 'grinds' every time the wheels make a rotation, and it seems to go away when I make turns. I don't have 10k miles on the truck yet, got it in July. Had the tires rotated/oil changed in early March.
  7. i got mine at invoice plus the rebate 2 weeks ago, northsky blue rst crew cab with z71 & protection, convenience 1 and 2, 20 inch wheels, and 4 inch black running boards. msrp 54450, invoice 46081, dealer had to trade for it or i probably could've got a tiny bit more.
  8. i also have a northsky blue truck, it's an rst. i was interested in a black, or black with chrome trim letters to mimic the bowtie on the front. i want my truck to have a blue/black/no chrome look, i already have black running boards and tonnopro lo roll cover.
  9. looking for black letters on my northsky blue rst, i just need to see one already done to see if i like it, and not waste my money.
  10. I know! especially considering my last truck was literally on the lot for a year before i got it.
  11. Just bought my truck and now I'm looking for a new soft roll up cover. I had the Tonnopro lo-roll 1050 on my '14, I wouldn't mind getting another Tonnopro, the one similar to it is the 1095, I believe, but I'm open to other options.
  12. Just bought my truck, it's a July/20 production date from Indiana with the E4 slider. Hopefully that helps in mine not leaking.
  13. i paid invoice for mine. was 54450 down to 46081. you might squeak 500 more out of it, i could've mine if i got it straight from a dealer and not a trade.
  14. joe holland in wv, doing a dealer trade for it. I think I know where they're getting it from, and it's being delivered to the dealership this week and it's a 1gc vin(indiana plant i think). Only have to wait on it, then find some trailboss wheels and 18 inch tires. will probably sell my 20s.. i really like the black/blue look.
  15. I think I'm finally done.. sticker $54,450, to 46,081. Rst crew cab, northsky blue, z71 and protection, all star, convenience 2, 20 inch wheels and black 4 inch running boards.
  16. From everything I've gathered, and anyone is welcome to dispute this, but the more recently produced trucks(2020s made since ~January 2020), with e4 or e9 windows, made in usa(vin starts with a '1' and not a '3') are the safest bets not to leak.
  17. best i've been able to talk dealers down to is $44k on an RST with z71, all star, and convenience 2, stickered around 52-53k. that's the 5k rebate, their 'dealer price' and supplier.
  18. I've tried to talk to smaller dealerships, they will only do the gm supllier and rebate. A couple larger dealers have trade assistance and down payment assistance options, I'll try those next. Don't know how to go about asking to see the invoice price and taking rebates and discounts off those.
  19. Here's a question while i'm thinking about it.. is the farm bureau discount still a thing? I know ford gives a $500 discount for farm bureau members, and I got the discount when I bought my current silverado in 2014.. a quick google and forum search showed nothing either way. I didn't know if it was hidden or taken away from Chevy or what.
  20. i decided no on that truck. it had the safety package, which i didn't want anyway, and i could get a brand new one cheaper right now IF they were in stock. i'll just wait.
  21. that's how i'm getting the info.. the carfax said it was registered in north carolina at 7 miles in november/december. it was then put at auto auction at 63 miles in february. then in april, it bounced through a dealership family(ramey chevy, then ramey toyota, then ramey chrysler), now at 84 miles as of May 15. according to the dealer, the truck is now being used as a demo. so i have no idea how many miles are on it. https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory/p/Report.cfx?partner=dlr_3&vin=3gcuyeed8lg126402&_rf_id=949632878&_ga=2.207885074.1237166268.1593904614-825705030.1593663971
  22. the used 2020 rst i posted is now at 44,750. original owner bought in north carolina in november, traded it(asumingly) in february with 65 miles. now has 85 miles and is used as a demo by the manager. sticker would've been around $54k. too much for a used truck. i don't care how many miles are on it. heck, if it was a dealer demo only, and not a used one, it should be fine but it's being sold at a dodge dealership in WV.
  23. just found a used 2020, with 83 miles?, original 'owner' had it for 2 months and 55 miles. RST, northsky blue, z71, drop in bedliner, crew cab, all star, convenience 2 and safety packages, with black wheels--no idea if they're trail boss takeoffs or just rim covers. listed price is $45,423. Brand new, this would sticker around $54,000. wonder how low i could offer them? after all, that truck lost %40 of its value when it drove off the lot the first time ? only thing i'd change would be to add a wheel well liner, change running boards to black tube, try to see if that tailgate lettering can be removed or blacked out instead, and find out if the floormats got lost or what. https://www.rameymotors.net/used/Chevrolet/2020-Chevrolet-Silverado+1500-princeton-wv-07a8ad5d0a0e0a176a8d7b383416bd20.htm
  24. I should've got one in January or February. $1000 Auto show cash, $750 conquest, $6500 rebate. I'm a supplier so that would've took another $3000. What's next, RSTs with z71s are ineligible for rebates next month??
