  5. No it's a custom fabricated deal. RT
  6. Tune and a mod with the idler pulley and fabbing up a intake pipe. RT
  7. Watch the video post 10114 look at the outer edge of the axle. RT
  8. Checked axle flange too? RT
  9. I still can't believe nobody is having the Driveshaft checked or the outter edge of the axle flange. There are videos of these two components clearly out of wack, at least show the videos to the service managers after all they are not going to invest time on this because they won't get paid for it. I took it upon my self to take my driveshaft out to have it checked and I will be checking the axle flange to just for curiosity. RT
  10. Go ahead and get baked before you bake so if you fvck it up you won't give a $hit! RT
  11. The outer surface of the axle flange is not true with the hub. This absolutley WILL cause a vibration, How much I don't know but I will turn that surface down when I get the old axles. BTW the stud holes are centered off of the center hub so they really cant be off because the are drilled after the hub is turned from the live center hole.
  12. Look at the middle of the drive shaft when it's spinning you can see it move slightly up and down. RT
  13. That's exactly what mine looked like in a lathe. Had it trued up and checked balance and runs smooth now. RT
  14. No need in buying new axles... just take the one's you have to a machine shop and they can chuck em in a lathe and they can true that up in 15-20 minutes for about $80-100 bucks. RT
  15. BS.... My trucks AFM has been off for years and it still vibrated until I had the driveshaft fixed. RT
  16. 6.2 LT-1 is the exact same longblock as the L-86 not a damn bit of difference in bearing clearance neither is the 5.3 for that matter or 4.3 and on and on. RT RT
  17. Yes that will work check at the trans, the center, the rear, 5 thousandth's or less is what you wanna shoot for. RT
  18. Make sure they check the shaft runout front, middle, rear. RT
  19. Any update on the axle flange runout issue? A good machine shop can cut and true the flange up! RT
  20. Yeah not a very good shop that doesn't seem to want to help anyone, I would take the shaft out and just take it to a Real Driveline shop that provides a worth while service. RT
  21. Yeah I had to go look at my oil jugs 5w-30 is correct, All GEN V v8 engines are the same platform LT-1, L-86 same part number (different tune) L-83 smaller cubes. no real difference. Mileage is the only reason GM comes up with this 0w-20 crap! RT
  22. Vettes call for 5-20 Mobile 1 Extended Performance that I get at wally world for $28 and change that's what I have run with no negative effects. RT
  23. Clean side comes with an adapter that screws in where the filler cap goes and then the separator slips into it. then run the hose to the Intake tube then you run the crossover tube from valve cover to valve cover and your done. RT
  24. Valves will be coked up a little at 10-12,000 miles. RT
  25. Installed at 1100 miles and current mileage is 8918 pic was taken Friday the 11th and no BG, seafoam, or any other top end cleanings done. In fact the intake runners look exactly the same as they did when I installed the 6.2 manifold at that 1100 mile install of the catch can. It's an Original RX can with clean side seperator. The back of the Throttle body was also clean as new no film or nothing at the throttle blade. Very impressed and is worth every dime I spent on this upgrade as I drive pretty aggresive and now It has a Magnuson TVS installed this weekend. I have a 12oz bottle I empty the oil and water into and its some nasty acidic smelling crap. My truck is a 14 with a 5.3 RT
