  1. not sure if they are have these issues but def half tons. The shop that fixed mine said he has fixed a ton of Dodge trucks too both shafts are made by AAM RT
  2. No tach jumping, constant between 50-60. below 50 nothing above 60 nothing. Just get your ass under the truck remove the shaft and have it checked no need to look further. RT
  3. Well my symptoms where just that.... a SHAKE! It would shake between 50-60 the whole cab would shake. It felt like King Kong was trying to shake me out of the truck. I could even feel it in the steering wheel at times it was so bad. I had my converter checked for balance in it checked out fine. RT
  4. My shaking issue has been fixed so I will tell you what fixed mine and I would almost guarantee this will fix them all. I was building up my 6l80 with some performance parts and sent my shaft out to a local shop to check balance, he said balance was perfect but it was out of true...meaning when he chucked it in his lathe it had 1/16 of an inch of runout in the center of the shaft. It was so bad you could obviously see it when spinning so he trued it and now my truck runs as smooth as glass with no shake, no shimmy, no vibration, nothing, it's never driven this good ever. So take your driveshaft out and have it checked. BTW it only cost me $86.00 RT
  5. Let the Lawsuits begin! RT
  6. Hahaaa..... When I first saw the 16 Hood I said that it was the dumbest design flaw I had ever seen. Bird Bath is perfect analogy! RT
  7. Guys I did NOT Balance the Driveshaft it was trued they checked balance and it was fine. read my fvcking post! Damn! My stock converter balance was good! In lay mans terms my driveshaft looked like a jump rope when chucked in a lathe. RT
  8. My truck didn't vibrate like the pinion angle was off it shook like King Kong had ahold of it shacking the shit out of it. 100% fixed nothing nadda zilch! RT
  9. I did install a Circle D RT
  10. I had my driveshaft trued and no more shaking! RT
  11. I will find out after the TVS1900 install! LOL RT
  12. I had my driveshaft trued this monday and it was out .065 of an inch a tad over (1/16th) and it's 100% spot on with no shake at all at any speed up to 140. Only cost me $86.00 so apparently the supplier of the drive shafts AAM has very loose tolerance or runout issues. RT
  13. Great news for me on resolving the shaking on my 14 RCSB. As I was building my 6l80 with performance mods I took my driveshaft to a really good drive line shop that does BIG HP race cars and Semi Truck driveshafts. They chucked it in there machine and it was 0.065 of an inch off plane which is a little over 1/16th of an inch. They trued it and checked balance and it is spot on so my particular shaking issue is 100% gone! Glen also told me that they have trued and or built alot of NEW Dodge truck shafts with the same issue and they also use AAM driveshafts and that's exactly what GM uses. So apparently AAM's runout tolerance sucks and should be tighten up a bit. He actually pointed at the decal that AAM puts on the driveshaft and said thats your problem! So guys and gals take your truck to a Drivetrain specialist and have them check runout on the driveshaft. I tested it on a smooth as glass patch of Interstate with a bottle of water and it never shook or moved a bit other than a bump in the road and it drives sooooo much better and it's very relieving to get this resolved. Any questions just ask! Oh and it only cost me $86.00 RT
  14. I have a 3.5 inch Borla tail pipe and it clears perfectly. RT
  15. You have the io3 I don't think it will work. You need i04 RT
  16. Yep that's where I got the idea and everything is connected correctly and the valves are free and clear. IDK RT
  17. Check this out.... I recently added a second exit port to my Original RX can and installed one way valves on the return lines and now my can catches nothing. The valve arrow points away from the can so what could be the problem? RT
  18. Well don't be sorry... JMO! RT
  19. Too much sugar for a DIME!! RT
  20. There are a few HP parts for the 6l80's check Sonnax out, I bought the Zip kit, Pump spring, billet piston, and Line booster plus a Circle D converter. just need to take a day to remove and install. The line booster is progressive which means the low throttle shifts will be a bit better than stock and the WOT shifts will be a lot more performance based shifts firmer (tire chirping) RT
  21. Dude go work in the yard or something! RT
  22. Vettes are spec-d with 5-20 and here in the Hot ass south i run it and will probably run the 5-30 when i put the blower on. RT
