  1. A catch Can is all you need.... Proof!
  2. That is an awesome find there! Good luck fixing yours! RT
  3. Wheel base has no bearing on the shake. I have a RCSB and it shook awfully, but had the driveshaft trued and runs smooth as glass now! RT
  4. Be sure to video it!!!! RT
  5. Has anyone had their Driveshaft checked for run out? That fixed mine, you would be surprised! RT
  6. Never did RT
  7. My drive shaft is steel also. RT
  8. Mine shook worse than that! RT
  9. Damn man... how many times do I have to say it was NOT OUT OF BALANCE....They trued it first and checked balance and it was fine. No other weight was added and I looked to see when i picked it up. RT
  10. Control arms have nothing to do with the driveshaft being bent causing the shake! RT
  11. I PMed you but it is Wansley Machine and Driveline service, LLC Ellisville, MS RT
  12. Nice Ride it would look awesome with a 3-5 though! RT
  13. Slopra are you having a vibe or shaking issue on your truck? RT
  14. They shoot for .005 and less and mine was .0627 from factory. Glen also said AAM uses cheap tubing made in mexico on their driveshafts compared to Wansley Machine made in the U.S. tubing which is nice looking and very very straight to begin with and easier to hit the lower runout numbers. RT
  15. I thought of doing that, but I'm just glad the saga is over. RT
  16. Yeah...Bill it's been aggravating for sure. I was going to check balance on the rotors next, then axle runout. Smooth riding now Brother and to think some guys don't want to admit that an old redneck wrench like me has a significant find and to be so easy and very inexpensive (IMO) to fix. On top of that...putting all of their faith in the GM engineers, service writers, service techs thinking just because that these guys work on them everyday that they could not have possibly overlooked this for 4 years now LOL. I am definitely not an engineer but I also don't overlook the obvious.... Cheers Boys! RT
  17. It's in my first post... RT
  18. I emailed them a long detailed message about it and of course no response. I am thinking there Quality Control or lack of is in question. We will see if they respond or not. BTW they are made in MEXICO! LMFAO! RT
  19. Oh Brother! You guys are something else, you all have fun chasing it all you want glad I figured it out see ya! RT
  20. You didn't read my post either! It was a SHAKE not a vibration more like a tire being oval....not like driving over rumble strips in the road. Body mount theory is bullshit and if they come out with new ones it's just going to mask the real problem. Go ahead and discount my finding but the shop I went to said he has fixed a ton of them and Dodge trucks also which have AAM driveshafts as well. They did not have to balance it either they only straightened it and it was pretty much bent in the middle a 1/16 of an inch which throws each end of the shaft off severely. Take a straw and slightly bend it and look at each end (not 90 degrees anymore) to see how that will affect the trans yoke and the pinion end of the the rear axle and would also support the issue of a lot of pinion bearings and pinion nuts being lose or ruined and having to be replaced. BTW the dealership put that pico meter on the truck and found nothing even when I took him for a ride and the cab felt like it was going to shake off of the chassis so I have ZERO faith in the service dept or GM to find this issue. Have fun looking elsewhere RT
  21. I am part of the 600 pages if you would read them you would see that! RT
  22. I can tell you it's not the body mounts! PEOPLE IT'S THE DAMN DRIVESHAFT FOR GOD SAKE!!! Have any of you even read my post! RT
  23. Exactly! RT
  24. A tank of gas is pretty good! RT
  25. I would venture to say any drivetrain or machine shop could check runout. RT
