2020-2025 Silverado and Sierra 2500 3500 Oil Catch Can This is what I put on my 2022 HD. I have the black anodized one. I mounted mine in the auxiliary battery tray. Inverted the included attachment bracket so the can sits a little higher, making it easier to reach. Up here in Northern Maine in the winter, I empty it every other week. Summer months, it does not accumulate much. Lee

I ditched the stock black ones and ordered red replacement ones. Much better. I think it offsets the color better. I also removed the plastic chrome Z71 on the upper fenders and replaced with a black chrome/red insert Z71. I had engine badges (where the Duramax badges go on the hood) 6.6 L8T made up. Black with red insert lettering. Also inserted black stainless "CHEVROLET" on the tailgate. MBRP cat back exhaust with black tail pipe insert. Oil catch can installed too. Lee

Good morning everyone. 2022 2500 HD CC Big Red. Has anyone installed after market seat covers on their front bucket and rear bench seats? LT trim with the fake leather material. After about 3 hours in the seat (unloaded truck) on the highway.. ass and back begin to bother me. Miss those late 80s and early 90s seats GM used back then. Looking for something with a little more cushion, still able to use the heated seat function and rear seat compartment storage. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Good morning. Just came across this post and I think I have the same if not similar issue. Does you leak look like mine? I am going to call the dealership tomorrow and see if I can get Big Red in this week. 2022 with 13K miles. Lee

Great info...thanks! I went to the NHTA site and entered my vin and got 0 hits. Was trying to find any TSBs on it. I'll give the dealer a call tomorrow. Where would I find a parts diagram for this hose and/or oil cooler and lines? Thanks again. Lee

2022 2500HD gasser...Big Red. Howdy all. Found a small oil leak coming from one of the oil cooling lines on Big Red. Came out to the garage the other day and saw a little oil puddle below the truck. Are these cooler lines one piece? Looks like a joint connecting lines together. I found no leak at the cooler and felt no leak coming from the rad. It would seem odd that they would be two connected lines vs a single line. In any case...needs to be addressed. Warranty should cover this, correct? '22 with 13K miles. Any thoughts? Lee

Howdy everybody! Everybody survive the holidays? I have owned Big Red now for a little over a year now and going into the 2nd winter with it up here in Northern Maine. I try to keep the salt off of it as much as possible and drive the old Ford farm truck when it is crappy outside. I noticed that my MBRP black matte exhaust tip is starting to rust. I tried to scratch the spots away with my fingernail but it did no good. Too cold outside (10F) to really clean it. Not too overly concerned but it did raise an eyebrow. Haven't crawled under the truck to examine the rest of the exhaust...that can wait till Spring. Still loving Big Red...still loving the MBRP cat back exhaust. Stay safe everyone. Lee

Dream truck huh...hmmm. 1987 3/4 ton Square Body Chevy. Regular cab, Silverado trim. 4x4. 496 (8.1L) under the hood hooked up to the six speed automatics used in the trucks up till 2022. Either in a dark Navy blue or the Red Hot. For now, I will say my '22 Big Red will hold me over Lee

No difference in MPG or seat of the pants...but put the go fast pedal down and it will put a smile on your face.

I installed the MBRP with black matte exhaust tip on "Big Red". I think it was right at $1000. Pretty easy install. Sounds soooo much better than stock.

Went to the dealership last week and got the mirror replaced. Paid my deductible and the insurance paid the rest. Mirror itself cost over $800!! Was nice to have the mirror again. Sucked when trying to back in the garage or pass someone.

Coming home from dinner last night around 9pm. Back country roads. Foggy and some condensation coming up from the rain soaked roads. Wife was behind me in her X1. I was doing 55. Moose up here usually just stay put. This one darted from the tall grass into the road right in front if me! I braked hard and swerved. I heard my tires screech. I made contact on the passenger side and a big thud was heard. Didn't kill it as it ran away. I was PISSED! First time ever hitting a moose. Got out and was scared to look at the damage. I got lucky. Made impact with the passenger window only!! Shattered the top glass, missing glass gone. It still folds in and out. It does not retract out anymore and the bottom LED security light doesn't work. The impact pushed the mirror hard against the door, denting the door and leaving a plastic scratch, the length of the bottom of the mirror. If you can zoom in, you can see the plastic scratch on the upper door. I have duct tape holding it all together until I can get it fixed. I got lucky! Lee

You can probably get away with not cutting it. But I did and was alot easier to remove it around the rear axle. About 3000 miles on it, still sounds good and I love it!

Installed an oil catch can over the weekend. Instructions had it being installed high up on the auxiliary battery tray. I didnt like that spot. Also, the liquids and vapors would have to travel uphill and I didnt think that would be all that good. New spot I think is better. Down lower and no interference to worry about. Plenty of room below it. I used a 5/16x20 tap for those who are curious. I ll check it in about 1000 miles or so and let everyone know. I put in a cat-back from MBRP. LOVE IT!!

6700 miles on my '22HD and have changed the oil twice. Break in and at 5K miles. I checked the dipstick yesterday and it is still at the top of the full indicator; I am not worried about oil consumption...yet. Lee

I went with MBRP. Sounds awesome. Some drone but not too bad. Sounds real good above 2500rpm!! I also got their Black Matte exhaust tip which complements the Bright Red truck color!! Lee

I bought a MBRP cat-back exhaust system. I also got the Black Matte exhaust tip that goes with it. Look at their website...they give demos of how it sounds. All I can say is....I am impressed. Sounds soooo awesome when you give it the beans. There is a little cabin drone at highway speeds but is not bad. I highly recommend.
