I searched their gallery way too much plus other sites as well trying to figure out what I wanted. It was very helpful though. I originally wanted something a little more aggressive and ended up more tame. I wanted to go with a 295/65/20 tire but ended up with 285/65/20 Nokian outpost A/T tires. I went this route because discount tire gives you 30 days to try tires and if you don’t like them for any reason you can return them. They aren’t quite the look I wanted but they are smooth and quiet. I had 295/70/18 Falken Wild Peak A/T3W on my stock wheels and I’m shocked how much louder and rougher the ride was with them. So now I think I’ll just stick with the Nokian because I’m so happy with the ride. I wanted to try the Recon Grapplers but they aren’t 3peak snow rated and I do a lot of ice fishing so that was a deal breaker. Then I wanted to go with the Toyo A/T3 but I got the Nokians for $100 each cheaper so I decided to give them a try.

Well the title of this thread certainly doesn’t apply anymore but I figure I’ll keep updating. Turns out the Fuel Blitz gloss black 18x9 are on national back order in the +20 offset and the +1 offset. I checked multiple places and they all said the same. 60-90 day’s minimum but could be much longer. I had initially wanted to go up to 20’s and since these wheels were available in 20x9 +20 offset I ordered them. I’m also very glad I never mounted tires on the weld off-road 20x10’s I initially ordered. While at discount tire the manager showed me a wheel offset calculator that they use to help people choose wheels. Going from a 8” wide wheel and +44 offset to a 20x10 +13 offset would have moved the outside edge of the wheel about 2-1/4” farther out. And that’s just the wheel it doesn’t include how much farther the side of the tire sticks out. Being as currently the outside edge of my tire is almost flush with the fender I would have been sticking out likely well over 2”. long story short I have the Fuel wheels on order and ordered a set of the new Nokian Outpost A/Ts in a 285/65/20. I’ll come back with pictures when I get the new set on.

So last night I went out and took some measurements on my stock wheels with the 295/70/18 Wild peaks. Using a 4’ level it turns out the side wall of my tire is nearly flush maybe 1/4” tucked in from the fender. So this morning I decided to order up some Fuel Blitz wheels in 18x9 +20mm offset in gloss black. This will actually move everything out almost an inch. So I’ll have just a little poke from the fenders which is what I want. But it still keeps the main part of the tread under the fender. Plus the wheel being an inch wider will square up the tire some more which is also what I wanted. I’ll come back and post some before and after pictures. Plus being able to reuse the tires and the pressure sensors is saving me a lot of money.

I don’t want to level it. It’s used mostly to tow our RV fish house year round and it squats the rear over 2 inches. I actually have been flashed quite a bit the couple times I’ve towed in the dark. I need to put some timbrens or sumo springs in. I’ve also now considered sticking with 18’s. I’m currently running 295/70/18 Wild peak at3w’s on my stock black 18’s that only have about 7k miles on them. All the tires I want in the 295/65/20 are $400 a piece or more. So now I’m thinking about getting some 18x9 wheels around a 0 offset. That way I don’t have to buy tires or pressure sensors. I really just want that wider stance and this would accomplish that

They are for sure 20x10 +13mm offset. Thanks for the reply, sounds like hopefully I won’t have to raise the front, if I just have to adjust the liner I’m good with that.

I bought some 20x10 +13mm offset wheels that I'm going to likely try the new Recon grapplers on in a 295/65/20. I'm glad I found this post because it gives me hope that it will work without having to raise the front at all. From all the researching I've done I think 20" wheels and this size tire is the perfect match for these trucks

Hello all, I have been running my 2021 3500 on the stock black 18" wheels with some 295/70/18 wilkpeaks for about a year now. As usual I am bored with it so I wanted to get different wheels. I want to go with 20" wheels and I wanted something with a little more lip and that sits more flush. I found a few brands now that are making 20x10 wheels with a positive offset and found some Weld off-road wheels that were on sale for by 2 get 2 free so grabbed them. Just trying to decide on tires now. I usually buy my tires from Discount tire because I always have and have never had a bad experience. The manager at my store is telling me that if I use that wheel with a 285/65/20 that it will rub at stock height. So obviously a 295/65/20 would even worse. After exhaustive internet searching It seems plenty of people are running something similar and not having that problem. Doing the math with that wheel a 285/65/20 is going to stick out 1" farther than my current set up and the 295/65/20 is going to stick out 1 1/4" farther than my current set up. Both would put the outside of my tire right about flush with the fenders. If anyone is running something similar can you confirm or deny I'll have issues with this if I don't raise the front up some? My other issue is wondering if the 285 tire will look ok on a 10" wide wheel. The more I think about it I may just go with the 295 so there is a little more width on that wheel. Any help is greatly appreciated. Sadly I don't have pictures of my truck with the current stock wheels and the wildpeaks. I attached a picture of the wheels I bought.

Count me as another person who thinks the seat is uncomfortable for long drives. Had a couple ice fishing trips this past winter that were 5-6hrs one way. Would start to get pretty uncomfortable after a couple hours. I’m going to try and find some sort of a full seat cover or cushion

Not sure what you’re talking about. The info I posted shows both the 3500 SRW and DRW numbers. I was not comparing a 2500 SRW to a 3500 DRW. Next time maybe you should read more carefully before you respond with a smart a## comment

I had a set of the Wildpeaks when they first came out on a 1/2 ton Ram I had at the time and they were awesome. I do a lot of Ice fishing so I always have to have good tires and I got the Wildpeaks again because of the price and what I know you get. There are a lot of different tires I've wanted to try and have been hesitant to pull the trigger because of road noise. I tried Atturo Trail Blade X/T's and returned them right away because they were loud. Same with Duratracs, I don't know how so many poeple have those cause I think they are loud. I really wanted to get the ST-Maxx's but I've heard they are loud too. At my ripe old age of 40 I care more about comfort and quiet then I used too

I agree I think you made the right choice. I don't daily drive my truck and haven't for a long time because I either had a work vehicle or vehicle allowance. So I only put about 6k miles a year on my trucks. I've wanted a HD truck as long as 6-7 years ago and kept talking myself out of it. I could have saved myself a lot of money if I would have bought one 6 years ago because I kept trying to find a 1/2 ton that would make me happy but kept being disapointed and trying something else. Finally got to the point where we needed the HD platform. I was shocked how nice my truck rides for being a 1 ton. And as others have said when you do need to tow there is no comparison.
