  1. Ok so here is the update. I took my truck into the dealership and was there for about 20 minutes. What they are telling me is that the volt meter is not going to stay consistently on 14 volts like I was use to seeing. The new technology turns on and off the alternator as need for better fuel economy and battery life. As for the vibration it is due to the 6 speed tranny not the 4 speed. They are telling me it has a slight lag in the shifting so it doesn't ruin the drivetrain. I am now up to 1079 miles and still loving my ride. It will just take some getting use to and learning to drive it the way it needs to be driven.
  2. I'm SO glad it's not just me. Now let me say that I came out of a Honda Ridgeline that I ran flawlessly for 7 yrs. maintenance free. As my friends say I have graduated to a big boy truck. I have recently purchased a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 with the All Terrain package ( I have 750 miles on it). I have also noticed a slight vibration in the truck. In my opinion it feels like the shift points are off and it is in to high a gear. I have a feeling it has to do with the fuel management system that shuts off some of the cylinders. Once you put your foot into it, it goes away and runs perfect and smooth. I have owned several trucks throughout my lifetime when I had my own construction company. My trucks ranged from Fords and Chevy's to the Honda I just came out of. The reason I say all this is because I'm not a suit and tie suburban dad that just bought the truck to look cool. I bought it because I needed a bigger vehicle. I'm taking mine in tomorrow and I hope there is something they can do to fix the problem.
