I see where the concern is about the lift but that just changes the center of gravity and not necessarily how the weight is distributed. But i guess no way to be 100% sure. I have towed a 4500ish lb trailer with it and it was very stable amd it was over a 1,700mile trip. But the rv will be a less aerodynamic and a tad heavier so that is a cause for concern. This is what i have been cracking my head over. GVWR is 7500lbs for the truck so thay means total weight right?? Assuming i get perfect weight distribution i get 750lbs on the tongue at full load (i dont plan on moving it with anything in the tanks anyway but this is just for arguments sake) Would it be best to fill up the truck and get it weighed with me and the Mrs and my tools in the back of the truck and go from there? You guys are acting like i need a 2500 to tow a golf cart. My 35s are E eated, the suspension has not been softened up at all in the rear, and we are talking about a 2016 with not even 25k miles on it. I am well within the recommended weight rating of the truck and these new trucks have very rigid frames that are boxed from what i can see. I think that some of you older guys still think that these are C10s and dont give the 1500s a chance for towing..... I mean we have 9.5" axels for crying out loud. Trailer is 7500lbs gross and the trucks tow rating is 9100lbs... I say it is just the right truck with room to spare. 35s are definitely NOT coming off amd neither is it coming down.... To be honest it's probably going up. Thats what drop hitches are for. Rear bags and a weight distribution hitch were at the top of my list after a bit of research. Hey guys its been a while since I have been on the forum but I need some help. As the tittle states I need some help upgrading my truck for towing. I am NOT looking to increase its tow rating to get a bigger trailer, I am looking on mods to make it easier on my truck. I am getting a travel trailer to live in full time due to moving all the time for work, it is more economical for me to pay for an RV spot and the trailer over leasing apartments/houses for short term and then having to cancel contracts and move all my stuff. The trailer I am looking at is a solid 7500lbs GVWR at 32'ft bumper pull. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra crew cab short box 5.3L with 3.42gears and the "standard" tow package without the brake controller. Big note that I do have a 4" BDS lift with blocks in the rear and 35x12.5x20 toyo R/Ts I am already looking at fitting tow mirrors and an after market brake controller, but aside from re gearing the truck what are some good options? Things that come to mind are like an auxiliary transmission cooler to help since I do have 35s, helper bags in the rear to cope with the droop.....what else could be added to just make the truck tow "easier"...............and no superchargers..wifey would NOT be happy thanks guys

I don't see a need for the recoil system but I don't beat on it and do burnouts and donuts, or tow really anything. I have rode in my buddys 2011 with the fox upgrades and it is a BIG difference, so much so that I have planned to do it for a while just need to find the time off work to get it all done.

don't have any on the work computer and just got a new phone. I posted some a few months ago in this thread about clearance in the fenders. this is the only one I could find for now. this was when I first got it done...its been about 12k miles and am very happy I did the 4" still planning on upgrading to the FOX shocks and coilovers.

I have the BDS 4" on 35" toyo RTs on stock wheels as well and just put spacers on the rears to match the fronts. I have the 2" BORAs as well.

Possibly also a good place to go now. Back when i was in the scene Big H was just starting out and was just a drop shop but maybe now they do lifts as well. Thanks buddy!! I got mine done in Amarillo since that's where im working right now... As far as a shop in the valley i wouldn't look anywhere else then Truck Toyz. They are across the street from clark chevy on old 83 and 10th i think. They have some very knowledgeable staff and know what they are doing. Call them up and ask around what they recommend. The tires stick out about an inch from the fenders. The fronts get pushed out because of the kit and the rears stay tucked inside. I have OCD so i had to space out the rears with a 1.5" spacer to even out the look or i would have gone crazy looking at the difference. Not one bit of trimming was done. If anything it just rubs the liner a tad in reverse at full lock. It looks wayyy close but everything fits just right. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

No timing at all rubs just a touch at full lock and the back has a 1.5" spacer to even out tje look. BDS 4" basic lift rides a lot smoother tjen expected but not like stock like most claim.... It's a tad rougher but not much. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
