  1. Does that just push under the trim, or do you have to take it apart at all to install that mount? Looks good!
  2. Now I get it. Thanks for the pictures. I can see how that is beneficial now.
  3. Ah ok that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification
  4. So I'm an idiot: What exactly is this mod? I've been staring at the pictures trying to figure out what this "rear seat fold down" mod is lol.
  5. May be worth having a friend or family member outside the truck trying to listen while you are backing up/turning the wheel. Sometimes it's hard to diagnose the issue yourself and helps having an extra set of eyes/ears. This was the case when I had a "sound" issue. Had someone crawl under the truck while I was revving the engine and found the issue. Or have them in the truck while you do the listening.
  6. I like the one you just posted the best, with the black and white "Sierra." The one on your truck now: Is it actually one for a Ford Raptor or just the same style? Reason I ask is it looks like the cut out for the tail lights is for the Raptor and seems a bit off. The install looks clean though; good job. I never trust myself with decals or tint
  7. So you installed that decal in your picture and now you're ordering the one from eBay to replace it with?? Why did you install the first one in the first place? lol
  8. Alexantics quoted the link just above your post to the write-up.
  9. I agree with this. Check out my build thread in my signature. I have a couple Rigid Industries fog lights. You could easily buy the yellow lenses and snap them on, or take them off if you just want the regular white light.
  10. You may want to exchange the can then. I usually grab a can off the shelf from the back, because the number of people who take the first can and feel the need to spray it to "test" it in the store is unreal. May be what happened in your case.
  11. If your Plastidip came out in clumps, that is not normal. When this happened to me, the nozzle was clogged. When you're done using it, I've found holding the can upside down and spraying it for a couple seconds will clear out the nozzle so it's empty and you'll have good spray when you use it next. If you bought the can new and it's clogged, try that trick and see if it clears it up. Alternatively, I think it suggests on the can you can soak the nozzle in paint thinner or something similar to clean it too. Don't poke it with a pin though.
  12. I'm be pissed too if they blamed a GM part available through their parts department and had installed in their shop. I realize the sub/amp isn't made by GM, but obviously they have "approved" it for their trucks or it wouldn't be on their website or dealerships wouldn't be installing them either.
  13. I took my time in prepping, but that being said, you can spray plasti dip all over your door and it'll peel off easily (unlike paint). I just found doing a good job on taping off my bowtie on the front and rear made things easiest. The emblems on the door I did too (before completely removing them) and you can't tape in as fine detail as you can with the bowties. Just tape off what you can, apply all your coats (6-8 IMO), and let it dry. Once it dries just take your time peeling it off, and the edges of the lettering will cut it cleanly. You can use a toothpick to get into the tiny awkward grooves to get you started as well.
  14. Car washes (touchless) do not seem to hurt the Plasti Dip. I have been through numerous, heavy rain, etc. and it has held up awesome on my truck. I did at least 6 coats, lightly applied, to built it up. Don't just cake it on in one thick spray. I wash my truck by hand and a wash mitt doesn't hurt it either. I'm sure if you took a rough brush to it, over time, it would come off though.
  15. Completely... But the OP said he'd be fine with turning off the monitor, so that's why I posted that.
  16. Is it your truck or the wifes? Just add them on!
  17. Looks awesome! Come up here and do my truck next please
  18. Can you not just hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the screen off? I haven't tried while backing up, but works for every other instance.
  19. The colour-matched blue looks the best by far. Good job!
  20. Good choice in camera. I have a Blackvue as well and they are awesome quality and features!
  21. Mine that I posted above are not wheel to wheel, but they are black. I find they do not have this issue as they are wider steps than most nerf bars. I absolutely love them.
  22. Looks really sharp!! Great job. I'm sure it'll sound awesome.
  23. I had my truck put up on a hoist to see if my spare 33"-ish tire would fit; not even close. Would be up against my exhaust for sure.
  24. Post #15... First page of this thread...
  25. I ran my Blackvue dash camera to the cigarette lighter port on the back of the centre console. I was able to conceal the wiring all through the trim of the truck and under flooring to reach. Not sure how much wire they gave you on yours, but on mine I had a ton of it!
