  1. Can you tell me what brand your running boards/nerf bars are? I really like them. Did they attach to the factory holes? Any issues with them?
  2. They look like bugs to me... I hope I'm right!
  3. Thanks. I looked under the menu option last night but did not see anything to do with the HD radio
  4. I live pretty close to a major city so HD may be beneficial to me.
  5. After doing a quick Google search, it looks like some 2015 model vehicles may have had HD radio removed. Not sure if there's a way to tell this or not. Not a deal breaker for me, but would be a nice "hidden" surprise if my truck had this feature.
  6. Thank you, I appreciate that. I'm still glad I stumbled across the RDS setting as I was wondering why that info wasn't popping up.
  7. Thanks KCG. I was mostly wondering if this was a feature that could be turned on/off in the settings menu. I will have to take a look shortly! The main stations I listen to are 45-50 km's away from where I live and they sound fine. When I drive away from where they are located, I can still get pretty good quality until I'm maybe 100 km's away from them. I think other factors play into this as well, considering driving "away" means driving towards the mountains where there's an increase of hills/mountains on either side of me. Edit: I just went out for a drive and checked my settings for my radio. I see "RDS" was "off" - I switched it on and now I have more info on my screen about which songs/artists are playing on the radio. I assume this was the setting for HD radio?
  8. I'm going to ask a stupid question... I have a 2015 Silverado and the FM radio seems fine to me. This "HD" radio you are referring to: Is it just what our trucks have, or is there a setting I need to turn on? I don't see any radio tagging on my screen (which I believe I used to in my 2013 GMC Terrain). Thanks.
  9. They sent it to a local company to clean and prep the metal prior to re-spraying it. The first image I posted was the "before" shot, and the other three were the "after."
  10. Does anyone have the OEM 6" running boards on their truck, but Line-X'd? Was hoping to see pictures of how it looks. I've seen it on others but looking for the OEM ones specifically.
  11. Nice. I didn't even know these existed in BC!
  12. Yes sir! Check out my thread - At the end I have posted pictures of the instructions and everything. Very easy http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/198384-driver-assist-handle/
  13. I just put one on my truck a few days ago. I haven't noticed any difference with visibility.
  14. That looks awesome! Can't wait to see someone do this on a Silverado.
  15. This isn't mine, but is at the local mountain in Whistler. Does this could as a wheel setup? haha
  16. Just picked up my truck from my local GM dealership to deal with the flaking undercoat/rust issue. Not only did they clean it and respray the entire underside of the truck, but they also re-sprayed the interior fabric protection as well. There was nothing wrong with this, but they decided to do it. Thought they handled this issue very well. They think the flaking/rusting may have started when someone put the truck on a hoist while the spray had initially just been applied; could have been at the dealership or factory, they don't know. Doesn't matter - They made things right!
  17. I dropped my truck off this morning for them to take care of this. I was glad to hear them mention the truck would be sent to a company to be properly cleaned under neither prior to re-applying whatever coating is under the truck. They could have just taken the lazy way and I wouldn't have a clue... Until the issue re-appeared again.
  18. I crawled under my truck the other day to check something out, and noticed a small patch by my drivers side rear crew cab door that was starting to rust. I contacted my local dealership and they have me scheduled on Monday to bring it in. They said it could be two things: 1) The "known issue" of the flaking of the factory spray on stuff, which they said they will fix or 2) they didn't actually spray on the rust inhibitor under my truck, like I paid for and they said they did. Is there a way to tell the difference between whatever they spray on under the truck as a rust inhibitor versus the factory spray on stuff? Just curious if I can tell at quick glance. I'd be very pissed off if I paid for a service they didn't even perform.
  19. I like on the sides best. Looks sweet!
  20. Depending on where it's wearing out, it may be from getting in and out of the vehicle my turning in place. If you don't have one, maybe look at a drivers side assist handle for the a pillar. I just ordered one yesterday, and although I did not order it for this reason, it can help stop this kind of wear and tear.
  21. That looks sharp! Great job. Dipping the chrome should be easy. You kind of have two options: One is to just spray it all and peel off the red parts after. It should tear pretty cleanly on the lines. The other option is to use green painters tape, but the pin striping stuff, and cover off the red, leaving just the chrome exposed for dipping. That's my 2 cents on the dipping method.
  22. Or since you have them taped already (haha), just plastidip them and peel it off
