  1. Well I took my truck into a shop today and can tell you the 285/70/17 spare tire I wanted to mount under the truck does not fit. It would end up hitting my aftermarket exhaust and trailer hitch.
  2. Thanks! I just sent him a message to see
  3. Thanks for the input guys. I will probably keep my 17" wheel but put a larger tire on it (if there's room; still need to check). I'm guessing a 285/70/17 is the closest I'll get to 33" (without going over)?
  4. Thanks for the info. I wasn't going to put the same wheel I have under the truck; I was just going to buy a plain 20" steel rim and the same tire I have on my truck now. I figured with all the crap kicked up under the truck too putting a nice new wheel to match the rest wouldn't be smart, haha. Plus, hopefully I never need it...
  5. Have any of you replaced the factory spare tire under the truck with a larger one? My truck came factory with 18" wheels and I have upgraded to 20" with larger tires as well (33"). I have also had a Borla exhaust installed, so not sure if that changed the space allowance for a larger tire under there. Also, can you mount a regular steel rim under the truck or does it require a special rim in order to be attached under there? Never released the spare so I have no idea. I came out to a nail in my tire this morning and I caught it early enough I could drive to get it repaired, but want to prepare for a worst case scenario if I have blown a tire. Thanks!
  6. Just wear red-tinted glasses. Problem solved!
  7. +1 on Phillips. Love them; great quality!
  8. Just had the same design put on my truck, but not from the dealership. Went to a vehicle decalling place.
  9. I don't mind the look of it, but I'd want something functional too. If I'm going to do that, I mine as well put NOS stickers on my truck haha
  10. Well, at least I'm getting some honest opinions here haha
  11. ... Like this? haha, just got this done last week. Tailgate matches too.
  12. Anyone put an aftermarket hood on their Silverado's? Been looking at this one: https://www.carid.com/2015-chevy-silverado-custom-hoods/rk-sport-custom-hoods-239182953.html- Was wondering if anyone has an opinion (good or bad) on them? Open to other suggestions too. Not a mod that I'm dying to do but definitely interested in.
  13. Have you had a friend with you to try and pin point the sound location? I had someone help me yesterday pin point a different issue and it was very helpful. Have them either inside or outside the truck. In my instance they were under the truck with the E brake on as I lightly pressed the gas and they were able to pin point the issue.
  14. There's dozens of different lights you can get. I'm a Rigid Industries fan. Good, quality lights. They aren't cheap but I'd recommend them in a second. They make several different lights that would fit into your sports bar.
  15. Ya I did mine over a year ago and it was still looking good. I did about 3 coats as well without the glossifier. Noticed the tiniest of knicks in the front one the other day and decided to peel it all off and re-do it (I was bored and OCD about it looking perfect lol). This time I used 6 coats and no glossifier and looks even better.
  16. Looks sharp; can't even tell it's there!
  17. Can be done but doesn't always last. I'd highly recommend the plastidip. When I did my bow ties I had a few people ask if they were the factory black ones. $20 can versus $100+ bow ties... and it was easier to do.
  18. I don't know how you guys get these overlays to look so good. Pretty sure if I tried to put that on it'd look like a 4 year old did it.
  19. Is there a feature in the "settings" menu that has this turned off by chance? I can't recall but I thought there was a menu under settings to turn this on and off. Hopefully it's something as simple as that.
  20. Do you have a link to that bull bar you have on the front of your truck? I like the look of it and want to check it out. Thanks!
  21. No problem Sorry, it's Amazon.ca but I'm sure there's a similar one on Amazon.com too
  22. You probably want this then: https://www.amazon.ca/Macally-MCUPMP-Adjustable-Automobile-Smartphones/dp/B007GNNH3Q/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1484181731&sr=8-10&keywords=gps+cup+holder+mount The one I have clips onto the Garmin GPS. You would not be able to use it for a smartphone, but the link above is what you'd want.
  23. I hate mounting GPS' to my windshield, so I bought this cup holder mount. Works awesome for my Garmin! $20
