  1. You don't even need to do that much. I just pushed the wire down where the pillar trim meets the headliner. Used a flathead screwdriver to help.
  2. I agree on the look, but I still like the sliding window on my truck. They could have made it look better though... I love the Toyota look. Even the Fords (I think?) have what looks to be a solid piece of glass all around the rear sliding window, so no plastic on the top or bottom. Much cleaner look.
  3. Ha, glad I'm not the only one who does this. Except I have my ratchet strap tie downs going from one tie-down point to the other. Keeps them from getting tangled up and don't have to dig them out of the box/storage area.
  4. Fair enough. I played around with my LED's behind my grill too. I wanted a different look from most people who have either a light bar or all the pods evenly spread out. It's your truck
  5. I agree; it looks like a clean install so great job! Much better than I could do. The Ford Raptor's grill lights are a bit further apart though. I think if you were to space them out a bit more they'd look really good. Just my opinion of course. The good thing is you have many options to do this with your grill, and if you were trying to keep it within the "GMC" logo you could probably still achieve that.
  6. Might need to upload it to a file sharing site and post the link; not sure, I've never actually done it haha.
  7. Interested in seeing the strobes; if you have a video that would be great to see. Congrats on the new truck!
  8. Those look awesome. He should sell those
  9. I had the chrome GM ones on my 2015; same issue. I don't think you'll get away from this issue unless you Line-X them. I ended up selling mine on Craig's List for a set of powder coated ones... Hopefully they don't run into the same issue. On the plus side, at least the underside of your running boards got this damage and not the bottom of your rocker panels.
  10. Nice looking Jeep. I like the tires!
  11. Thanks for the tip. I also taped off each line too but I think I rushed it. Oh well; I have aftermarket wheels now lol.
  12. I'm pretty decent with Plastidip, but when I tried to do the small bowties on my old wheels it turned out like crap lol. Good job on yours. I also tried to do the steering wheel bowtie with Plastidip; same result. I should look into using vinyl like you did.
  13. Looks awesome! They are definitely some of the nicest sets out there, IMO.
  14. Nice! I bet you grab the steering wheel still for the first little while... I know I did out of habit haha. At least your son seems to understand what it's for
  15. I changed mine for the first time in about 2 years and it was dirty, but nothing like the poster above. I think it depends where you drive/where you park. I'm in a garage and not driving down a bunch of dusty roads. I think if I wasn't, I would be changing it annually. The filters aren't that expensive so once a year won't break the bank for cleaner air
  16. Well, that's disgusting. I changed mine for the first time last week. Was surprised how much crap was in it. Glad I didn't breathe it in though!
  17. I think if you vinyl wrapped it instead it would look best. Plus it should be cheap to do.
  18. Doesn't look too bad, but the top isn't straight. Sorry, might just be my OCD and not saying I could do any better lol. I like the look of it both ways though.
  19. Nice! I love the stripes on my truck; I actually was inspired by my previous car. Below is a picture that might help your vinyl shop as it pops a bit better than the ones on my truck. I also included the exact picture of the design on our trucks to the vinyl shop. I think you'll like them!
  20. You should start a crowd funding website for this
  21. Just read through your entire thread. Looks awesome! I'm just in the Lower Mainland so next time I'm in the Okanagan you can do my truck Can't wait to read what else you do!
  22. $5 too expensive for this thread Such a simple mod but I found it makes it much easier than grabbing the steering wheel!
  23. You should sell those haha. Looks good!
  24. Thanks! The GM part number is 23194635 and are listed at $1,034 CDN. I didn't pay MSRP but that's what they are listed at. That part number is for a crew cab standard box (my truck is a 2015 Silverado but should fit various years).
