  1. Oh yeah forgot to mention....it’s done !! 106.5” belt
  2. I actually am about to take them off and run a 33x15x15 mt pro drag. I have a couple little things to finish then I’ll see what it can do
  3. Got the last pulley on ! My belt calculation was about an inch off I didn’t account for the iw pulleys being different than stock diameter to offset the 10% od on the balancer . All pulleys are aligned within .005”!!!!! I think I get to say I’m the very first 8 rib l86!!!!
  4. Ok I’m installIng the balancer today and pressing on the water pump pulley to the exact depth. On the two water pumps I have the pulley measures .6 “ from the back of the pulley to the face of the pump mounting /sealing surface. Should fire it up today but I had to order new stretch fit belts for the ac and vacuum pump
  5. And the water pump is a pain like the cars....
  6. Also the blower pulley I’m using is a 3.00 from weapon x that is designed for an lt4 ctsv with a whipple. Lines up well with the other pulleys , this idler needs spacing away from the whipple idler bracket it rubs against it
  7. I will say you will need an adp tool for the alternator, a three jaw balancer puller, and the water pump will use a standard three jaw puller and needs a press for installIng the new pulley. Removing the impeller/shaft/pulley from the housing is the only way to do it but it’s super easy if you notice there are 6 holes in the pulley which make it really easy to get to.
  8. I’m doing it right now should be finished tomorrow . I’m supposed to write up some instructions for innovators West so I’ll post them here as well
  9. I know I’ve gotten by with adding the 100mm idler to get a smidge more belt wrap in previous builds.
  10. I think I added one more larger idler to try after this order but other than that yes. I have the puller for the balancer coming in tomorrow and I’ll knock this out and let you know any troubles. I do have a spare water pump handy I expect that to be the troublesome one. But Chris rose from iw said he didn’t have much trouble getting his off his truck to spec out for the kit. The car pulleys can be a real pain but in the past the trucks have been easier for me. What’s your setup now? Pulley size etc
  11. No I’m actually waiting on my heads to be gone through and set up I had something in my cam drive let go bent 5 intake valves. I’m doing a fresh valvetrain and vvt delete with Cloyes extreme race ls3 set with z chain. I will take the valvetrain I had in and inspect every part very thoroughly and discard any unviable parts. The rest will get used in my other (spare) engine (dry sleeved 454)
  12. Also for informations sake the blower pulley I will be attempting to fit is for a lt4 ctsv with the whipple kit. May be dead on but could require some adaptation.
  13. Well just to give an update I have the first complete set of 8 rib pulleys coming from innovators West. Plus three more iw pulleys to replace the 6 rib idlers on my whipples idler bracket. Also got a 3.00 inch griptec’d pulley from weapon x. Will post pics of the install and my review as soon as I can get them installed. Thanks for everyone’s support!
  14. No problem! Have you been in contact with iw regarding this at all? They have been stringing me along somewhat pushing the dates back which made me get off my butt and do something. I just don't understand why they have an 8 rib balancer but not really in a hurry to complete a kit
  15. Great! I am waiting on my spare water pump to get here so that I can box it up with the others and sent to be used to spec out the 8 rib pulleys. I am only getting the two pulleys that and aren't available made(alternator and water pump) by innovators west. The others we will source from there. I'll get in touch when it is close to realization. Thanks
  16. I am unsure if the alternator pulley they offer will line up using the Camaro spacer they sell so that's why the nylon alternator pulley but I am going to test fit both and report
  17. I have everything figured out but the water pump pulley so I am having a run custom made. Ten minimum but if there is a need for more I will increase the quantity accordingly.!l this is using pulley pn 38091 for the alternator and innovators west 15% od 8 rib damper. Also iw has the tensioners and idlers Available as well. Will be laying cash down tomorrow for the first ten pulleys
  18. I think a person that drives with some sense should be able to get 50k easy. I however don't fit that driver description. If I had a 5.3 I think I could lol
  19. I am the type that rarely gets the same size or tread pattern twice in a row to say the least. I am actually torn between another set of these or a set of km2's. 35x13.5 or 37x13.5 is still a toss up as wel. For anyone that wants to know if you run a 37 with the 8l90 all that is needed is a 3.73 r&p to get the ratios back to what they Are on stock tires with optional 3.42 gears. That's most likely what I'll be doing but let's hope the current ones last long enough to get all the parts ready
  20. The pros spec out at 34.29" tall and 12 inches wide. They are noisy but it's a bearable level and a way nicer tone than a straight symmetrical cut m/t. You can tell they put some research in them
  21. No I have spacers in the rear only to get them lined up with the fronts. No rubbing at all anywhere. When I had a 2.5" front level and 1" rear lift I rubbed like crazy with and without the spacers on the front. A lot more with than without
