  1. Quickly scrolling thru, I didn't see anyone talking about a Banks tuner.
  2. Impressive. They look good and perform well. A picture of the rearview cam on with the lights would help to see how the glare is (or isn't).
  3. Edited my listing. 2016 Sierra SLT. Meant to say HID headlights.
  4. I've got a 2016 Sierra SLT with the LED headlights. I like the look of the HID headlights (with the amber park light on the end) that the 2500's and other trims offer. Does anyone know if the wiring harness'/plugs are universal or the fit would be the same?
  5. Has anyone changed their set up to go from the current 6 lug to a 8 lug using an adaptor of some kind to be able to fit different wheels? I like the chrome 10 spoke Denali HD wheels from the 2016-2019 model years.
  6. I just started a new thread under the Engine, Driveline & Exhaust section. But I received a letter from GMC today stating they're extending their coverage to 10 years or 120000 miles for a condition that affects some 2016 model year Sierra's with the 6.2L engine that has rough transmission shifts or hesitation during acceleration. As I asked there, does anyone think this letter is GM finally owning up to what we've long complained of?
  7. I got a letter in the mail today from GMC regarding my 2016 Sierra with the 6.2L engine that "may have a condition that affects the electrical connection to the transmission oil temperature sensor. If this condition occurs, rough transmission shifts or hesitation during acceleration may occur. Additionally, the Malfunction Indicator Light (Check Engine Light) would illuminate and a diagnostic trouble code related to the temperature sensor would set." They're extending protection to 10 years or 120000 miles. Has anyone else with the 6.2L engine received this letter? Does anyone think this relates to what everyone always complained about, the rough shifts and the hesitations that we've long complained of?
  8. So while turning steering wheel, left or right, a clicking noise is heard, inside only, by any occupants, but not heard outside. Seems to be coming from under the dash area. Cannot be heard outside. Local mechanic tried spraying silicone grease in steering wheel shaft boot under dash, to no avail. Any ideas?
  9. Link from slide187 doesn't work (not directly to thread).
  10. Front left wheel bearing on order now to my local mom & pop shop, creating a hell of a racket in noise. Only 40k miles.
  11. PM sent to you Yeti1007.
  12. Finally got it done, courtesy of Truck Toyz Unlimited in Rocky Hill, CT.
  13. Does anyone think this would be covered under the powertrain warranty which I believe is longer than the 3yr/36k mi warranty, which I'm over?
  14. Hmm. Will have to try this. Could Grjfef have wired something wrong?
  15. Had a similar clicking sound from left front wheel when the wheel turns past say a certain clock point you'd get 3 clicks, but only when the steering is turned 3/4 or full left or right, front or back travel. Repair invoice reads "Retorque control arm bolts per PITS5533B", & retorque both the frame crossmember. Sound is now gone.
  16. My deciding factor for the SLT was the option of a chrome bumper. With the Denali (and now the Elevation and All Terrain) they come with a painted front bumper. After 10 years with my '03 Tahoe Z71 and 3 years with my '13 Silverado LTZ, both with painted front and rear bumpers, the front got chipped up from rocks and therefore start to rust. I wasn't going to go thru that again. I know I could've gotten a clear bra or similar, but I didn't want to toss away another few hundred dollars. So I optioned up my SLT with everything that I wanted, which got it near what a Denali would have and I'm satisfied with my results.
  17. I applaud 14GMC14 for taking this step, that I imagine few have thought of doing but no one has completed or posted on here yet till now. But like MyFavTruck asks, and hasn't been answered yet, can the hood be delivered painted already? I kinda presume yes, as 14GMC14 doesn't itemize labor and paint for the hood.
  18. Here's a before and after of a 2.5" RC front & 2" rear block on my '16 Sierra with factory 20's. Below is a pic of my suspension and the angle of my front drive shaft at the wheel. Love the look of the raised truck, but the ride, its another question. I read back thru the last 20 pages of this specific forum, and only found one comment about the ride. Mine feels as if there is rolling resistance, as if something is holding it back. Yes, in neutral it rolls as it should but even then or under power, still feels like resistance. It's only been 2 weeks since I completed the DIY project. Any thoughts anyone? Just searching the web, a ricer forum thought someones E-brake cable might be pulling taught. Any help?
  19. See my profile pic, I have the same mirrors. To your question, yes the wiring is the same for all. And yes, like the last 13 pages have said, in the dark, your mirror reverse lights, rear cargo lights and tail light reverse lights will illuminate when you press the unlock button on the remote AND when you press the cargo light on the center stack all the same lights will illuminate. It'll take you longer to go and buy the diode than it will to install it. Neat mod!
  20. Darkfox1, the horn part was funny. Anyhow, look at some of the pics and schematics and count how many rows over and down to get to where you need to be. I was in the same situation, but once I counted it out, it was much easier to figure out which hole to push the diode in to, since like you, yes, it's hard to figure out some of the wire colors due to the twist.
  21. Yes, RhinoGuy. I that's what the 11 pages of conversation were about. And yes, again, the same bulbs for the reverse lights are in the cargo lights, so change away, as I've done with both.
  22. For Stetsie, here's a link to another forum, the cargo lights on with reverse lights when doors are unlocked. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/164156-cargo-lights-on-with-reverse-lights/page-1
  23. I'm with Derbaby, someone help us figure out how to get the towing mirror lights and the cargo lights to come on while in Drive without shifting to Neutral. Thank you again to those who've figured out how to get the fog lights to stay on with high beams and the cargo lights with reverse lights, now, just this last missing piece of the puzzle.
