  1. I've understand it to be the opposite. Adding a leaf would make it stiffer and the block just increases height. No change in ride as far as I'm concerned but I was already running the BDS lift with Fox DSC coilovers, full replacement rear springs, and Fox 2.0 shocks in the rear. There were no blocks in the rear other than a slight wedge to align the axle before the recent addition. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 2. The simplest way would be blocks an inch taller than your current blocks. I just added inch blocks to my 4 inch BDS lift after it had settled over Time. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 3. Black Bear Tune and Airaid intake tube is all. If I ever get the money I'd like a supercharger. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/192614-Tenscourts'-2016-LTZ/Z71-CCSB-4WD-Silverado
  4. I've done a couple launches on dry pavement. One hooked up immediately with no wheel spin and the other appeared to spin both wheels immediately until they hooked up but that was brand new slick asphalt. I didn't need the TrueTrac but I liked the idea of not having anything that would truly lock and potentially break. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 5. So the continued clicking appears to have come from one of my rear brake rotors clipping the caliper. The best we can tell the spacers between the rotor and caliper have compressed allowing a high spot in the edge of the rotor to contact the caliper. The spacers were replaced and the knocking noise appears to have stopped. I will continue to monitor the situation. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 6. For anyone who may come across this post later the replacement diff resolved the play around the C clip on the driver side. There is still a cyclical noise when coasting at lower speeds that's about one "click" per revolution of the tire. As soon as you give it any throttle the noise goes away. I'm not sure if it's a lapping or break-in issue or normal operation for this application. I've read many posts in different places complaining of the same issue and many saying theirs were silent although I can't find anyone who's made this swap in a 2014-2018 model truck for direct comparison. I'll update further when I have more information. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 8. I would imagine rough country did plenty of testing with their lifts. Even if there is added stress I can't imagine it would cause immediate failure. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 9. As long as the lift you had installed was meant for a 4wd and properly installed I don't know why you wouldn't. Obviously research your lift to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue. Was the lift from a reputable brand? Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/192614-Tenscourts'-2016-LTZ/Z71-CCSB-4WD-Silverado
  10. Sounds like you've got it covered. Good luck! Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/192614-Tenscourts'-2016-LTZ/Z71-CCSB-4WD-Silverado
  11. If they flagged your truck as voided warranty I'm not sure any dealer can help you. I would also think they would need to provide a reason for voiding the warranty. Call another dealer and see if they can confirm the voided warranty. Ask for the reason in writing. Call GM and start a complaint. And be sure to hammer the them on any surveys you receive. I'd try all of that and if you still can't get anywhere my next step would be a lawyer but you can do the rest for free. If the shop that did the work is reputable they make can write you a letter or something as well. The shop I use does upfits for dealers so it's hard for them to cry fowl when they they are using the same shop. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 12. I have a 2016 Silverado 1500 Z71 CCSB with a 4 inch BDS lift. It's in the shop right now for regular maintenance (100k diff, transfer case, trans fluids, plugs, wires etc.) While the cover was off I had them replace the G80 with a Detroit TrueTrac. During the test drive they noticed a clicking noise when coasting. It appears there is some play around the C clip on the driver's side allowing it to rub against the carrier. The current hypothesis is the part was machined incorrectly allowing the play. A replacement is expected Monday. I'm concerned we'll see the same issue with the replacement. Does anyone have any feedback? Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/192614-Tenscourts'-2016-LTZ/Z71-CCSB-4WD-Silverado
  13. If they can't prove the lift caused the failure then they have to cover it. If it failed again then they could point to the lift as the cause. I had a strut squeaking. Service manager claimed it was my leveling kit. He said he would cover it once but when it happens again GM will fight it. The replacement never squeaked at least to the point I went full Fox shocks all the way around. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 14. My point was Wilwood sells the brakes per axle. The price comparison was being made as if you had to purchase both front and rear but it isn't required. GM sells front only Brembo kits so to make a fair comparison you should consider just the Wilwood front axle price. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 15. My flares are bushwacker. To get the smooth finish they only come in raw plastic. I had to get them painted and I let the shop that did my lift install them. If you get the ones that have the bolt on look you can get them pre-painted in certain colors. As for the lift I've always understood any leveling kit above 2.25 will stress the suspension too much. To go higher than that you'll need a true lift. Mine is a 4 inch BDS but there are plenty of cheaper options. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/192614-Tenscourts'-2016-LTZ/Z71-CCSB-4WD-Silverado
  16. The suspension rides great and handles well. There is some squeak in the rear leaf springs when going over speed bumps but not under normal driving. They tried to unpack and grease them twice with no luck. It's not a big deal as it's only over larger bumps like speed bumps. Obviously the brakes aren't part of the suspension but my truck weighs 6580lbs (3600) on the so the stopping power is nice to have and the nose of the truck doesn't drop no matter how hard of a stop I make. There are much cheaper brake upgrades out there. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 18. I like the tires. They are the most aggressive I've ever had and fuel mileage took a hit with the tires and lift but they ride well. They are a lot more square than any other tire I've had which I notice with low speed steering but at higher speeds I don't notice it. I think it's because the wheels lean when you turn so you're riding on the corner of the tire a little more. I've always heard 22's ride stiffer because there is less sidewall but mine are 20's so I'm not speaking from experience. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk. 20. If you just want the higher amp alternator for the dual setup I can attest you don't need it. The stock will maintain them both no problem. If you need it for another purpose please report your findings. I've had a dealer tell me changing the alternator required programming. I don't know that I believe them but with these trucks it wouldn't surprise me. On a side note I can also attest that when you accidentally run your primary battery too low to crank your truck the secondary will definitely do the job. Linked mine via the push button on my ACR and she cranked right up! Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk.
