  1. FYI the 2014's and maybe 2015's have the tray with the lip. In the 2016's they got cheap. My dealer looked up a replacement tray and it came with the lip. Took me 3 batteries to figure out the right size. 2014 or 2015 models offered dual batteries in a 1500. When I looked them up I finally figured out the right size. 48 as you said. I got custom cables because of the placement of my isolator. Glad you got it worked out. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 2. I'd say it will run you $800 for a basic setup. I probably spent $1200 due to trial and error. Your biggest expenses will be the battery, isolator, and cables. You can get a tray off a 2014 that isn't using it then buy the bolt and rubber wedge. I spent about $50 buying the tray new. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 3. I've gone through this entire process. See my build thread and pm me if you need additional info. BTW the OE battery size will not fit the second tray. Again, read my thread. I have part #s, pictures, and videos. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?/topic/192614-Tenscourts'-2016-LTZ/Z71-CCSB-4WD-Silverado
  4. I did update it with some foam support. No rocking issues at all. I also got another cable for some extra flexibility when I take the console trim off but I haven't swapped the cables yet. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks...-4wd-silverado/
  5. A little update... Added some foam to support side to side movement. No issues at all since doing that but I also bought this new cable I'm going to swap with the current one to have more slack for a better adjustment at the phone end. I've popped the console trim off a lot in the past for mods so wanted to give myself more slack. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks...-4wd-silverado/

  7. The connector tilts back so the phone leans like it would if it just sat in the groove. I get a little lean from side to side but I plan to beef it up with some rubber or something to eliminate that. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  8. I plan to beef it up with some rubber on each side to support the phone from rocking but so far I've had very little movement. I Dremelled the right angle USB-C connector to give it some tilt towards the backrest. The sub under the console supports the connector. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 9. Made a docking station for my phone directly into the center console. It works with Android Auto. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. My build thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/192614-tenscourts-2016-ltzz71-ccsb-4wd-silverado/

  12. I must have missed this. If you are referring to the battery setup I'd say $800ish. Rounding here but $250 for the battery, $250 for the isolator, $100 for cables, $30 for terminals, and the rest for circuit breaker, fuse box, relays, etc. I was quoted $1200 from a shop not including the battery. Im sure I spent more than the $800 because I ordered the wrong cables first and couldn't return them. I also had some trial and error that cost me return shipping. But after the fact I could easily get the basic setup for under $800. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 13. I'll try to shoot a video soon. But right now the stuff running off my second battery is my front camera, side cameras, 360 camera module, and headrest monitor. The footwell lights are powered off the electrical system of the truck so they will fade out properly with the truck lighting. Yes both batteries are being drained when the truck is running but they are also both being charged. When the vehicle is off the second battery is disengaged so it can be used to boost the first if there is some draw that runs it dead and I need a jump. If I decide to run something that I want powered all the time I'll tie in to the fuse box I mounted on the battery and not the bus bar controlled by the relay. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 17. I'm not sure how likely it is but without some pressure a deeper compression is more likely which could damage the bags. That's my opinion. I have the Air Lift version with the internal jounce bumpers. I'm running 15 psi to prevent my springs from settling because of my Z series cap and Bedslide. With my front level and rear blocks the cap and Bedslide killed my rake. The pressure gives me about a half inch of extra height over the front. I believe I'm at 39.5-40 in the front and 40-40.5 in the rear measured at center of wheel wells with the pressure. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 18. The bags replace your jounce bumpers so they recommend the 5 psi to hold shape and prevent bottoming out. Air Lift makes a bag with an internal jounce bumper. They still recommend 5 psi but state they can be run with no pressure. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 19. I have that setup with red painted calipers. See my gallery. In my opinion they aren't very visible with the OEM wheels. I'm considering replicas with a more open pattern. I'd like to get someone to video me driving by so I can see how visible they are in motion. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 20. Got rid of the clamps and bolted down my A.R.E. Z series cap. You can still see the shavings. I also had to take a Dremel to the fiberglass and the plastic bedrail cap at the tailgate end to get a tight flush fit near the cab. If I ever remove the cap permanently I'll replace the plastic bedrail caps but I don't see that happening. Before Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk. 21. Column shifter but push button start with the proximity sensor to unlock doors and tailgate should be an option. My wife has push button and I hate having to pull out the key chain for my truck when all I have to do for her car is grab the handle.
  22. The 360 camera module is an add-on. I also have there HMI Unlock programming which provides video in motion. One doesn't rely on the other but but they are certainly complimentary. The HMI Unlock requires an HMI exchange or sending your HMI in which means you can't drive until you get it back. Depending on the features you are looking for they have multiple products. 23. Most use cases involve the security of being able to start your truck after prolonged use like powering an inverter and accessories while camping or tailgating. Others involve needing more amps than your starting battery can provide like a winch or plow. Mine started as a way to power a security system involving 360 cameras 24/7 but I'm not sure I'll ever get that far. Then it just became a challenge to do it right. I am running some accessories off it now but I could have run those another way. At least now I know I have a way to start my truck if the main battery goes dead. 24. All my Blue Sea stuff came from Amazon. As a matter of fact besides the battery and the cables it all came from Amazon.
  25. I just documented most of it in my build thread for you. If you have any other questions let me know. It's not cheap. I probably have 600-700 in the basic setup not counting the fuse box, circuit breaker, and relay. The battery, ACR, and cables are the most expensive items. I'll probably kick myself for asking this but "BSS pieces"?
