  1. Stock tires? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Mine does this. Extremely annoying. I am telling them to check for the sound now, I am starting to think it's an exhaust leak up front. It is not the flapper valve noise, that is located in the back of the exhaust all the way at the rear and makes more a squeak sound, I had that replaced on my 15 and I have a 16 now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. 5 inch block would look ridiculous with a 2.5 level up front. I would go 3 inch block max and it still would be a lot of rake. The 2 inch block would look best imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Makes no sense that rotating tires would fix that unless your tires were never rotated in over 10K miles and cupped, or way too much or too little PSI. I'm betting you probably have stamped steel control arms based off your username 16 silv, and any level kit over 2 inches creates problems with those arms. Rough country made a kit specifically for these arms now with their 2.5 kit, it uses a preload spacer now for them instead of the bottom and top spacers used in all the other kits over 2 inches. I would install that kit or remove the 1/4 inch spacer from yours, AND make sure your tires are balanced correctly and alignment is correct. If all of the above have been checked, it's most definitely the kit being too much for those stamped arms. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Correct, but 305/55 is still a decently tall tire. A 275/65 kinda has the pizza cutter look, narrow and tall Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  6. A good amount of wheel well compared to tire Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  7. 305/55r20 is a big tire, it's absolutely noticeable from stock not even a question. 275/65 will look stuffed, I'm personally not a fan of that look as it takes away from your lift and makes it look more like a stock set up but slightly taller. I'm doing a 285/55r20 and that's really close to stock. Here is a pic of 285/55r20 with a 3.5 lift. It definitely has the "ice skate" look but I think it looks great, I'm doing the 2.5 lift so it won't be quite as much wheel well. Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  8. There for sure is a difference when ac is off and a vent besides the main dash board ones are on. (Such as windshield defroster) I have no idea. I'm almost thinking it's something with the cabin fan, or something with the ac system. I know the motor does not tick/knock, it's something else. It correlates with throttle though, and only is heard around my driver side vent, nowhere else Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  9. I just tested again yesterday, try one more thing. I noticed with a/c off it still does it. What I did to make it much less noticeable, was turn a/c off, then turn on your defroster for the windshield and crank the temp up to at least 74. It is significantly less noticeable when I do that. Wait about a minute after and test The chatter sound comes directly behind my drivers side a/c vent Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  10. Turn your a/c off for at least a minute and drive and see if it goes away then let me know Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  11. Okay I gotcha, so no noise unless there was a load? What kind of load would you say weight wise? Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  12. Until Friday it was always there, but I have a/c on most of the time so the other day it was off and I didn't notice it and then I figured out this was it. Was your ticking very loud or subtle? At idle? Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  13. See mine is nowhere near like that. It's very faint chattering, definitely noticeable and annoying but in no way ever caused me to worry that something was that wrong Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks man. I did notice yesterday that the tick goes away if my a/c is off! Takes about 30 seconds with it off and gone. It makes this sound in the video I'm posting. I figured there was no way for me it could be lifters because it is not a constant tick, also doesn't do it at idle. You have to turn your volume all the way up to hear the ticking https://vimeo.com/183200747 Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  15. This is exactly what my 16 does. So annoying. Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk Please report back on this, did that fix t? Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk

  17. Looks good. You probably had rubbing issues because of the stamped arms. Do you notice much difference in look/size between 295/55 and 285/55? I'm gonna do a 2.5 level on +18s with 285/55 toyo at2 xtremes. I am considering 295/55 because I like the Nitto ridge grapplers but they don't come in 285/55 for some dumb reason Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  18. That's really weird, doesn't make much sense.. I'm not sure, I'm just glad I have the cast steel arms on my 16 Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  19. I bet that's the issue. Any level over 2 inches has issues with those arms, has to do with upper arm not having enough clearance not to hit the strut. I know you haven't said anything about that and I'm sure the sway bar isn't located closer to the tire with those, but that has to be what the problem is Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  20. There's a ton of guys running 295s and +18 with no rubbing, not sure what to tell you, also know somebody running 305/65r18 on +18 xd wheels on a RCX 2.5 level no rubbing Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  21. At least +18 for no rubbing Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  22. I wouldn't use spacers, especially on a truck. Those won't be too bad but still, you are far better off getting less positive offset wheels. Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  23. Exactly [emoji1303] Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  24. All gm direct injected trucks in this body style have done it that I've drove, from single cab to extended to crew, 15-16 models. I haven't driven any 14 models. The V6 and 5.3 both do it. I haven't driven any 6.2s. Some more noticeable than others. I've driven at least 10 of these trucks as well. My 15 had a lot of issues so I drove a wide array of rental trucks. My truck was then broken into and destroyed on the lot so I drove a few 16 rentals before I bought my new 16. Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
  25. It does seem random, but mine has a pattern where it's most noticeable. It occurs loudest from 1500-2000 rpm, especially when I'm coasting/maintaining light throttle on the highway or a road and it stays at that rpm. I'm absolutely convinced it's completely normal and while I agree annoying, it's the nature of direct injection. I also only run premium 93 octane if that helps Sent from my treestand using Tapatalk
