  1. Yeah, I've debated doing that but I get derailed by needing that painted trim piece. If it was available factory colored I'd probably have done it already.
  2. Is there such a thing on the market to replace the giant "CHEVROLET" on a 2020 to 2023 LT/LTZ HD with a bowtie? I have not found it myself, but thought I would ask the question to be sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks.
  3. I had my dealer's shop foreman drive mine while I rode with him over a spot I knew would cause the issue. The result it he now believes me that there is an issue, that the door actually moves, I call it flapping basically. It's like the door isn't latched. He's stumped as to how to do anything about it though. There's no adjustment, I feel like perhaps the door is not mounted correctly in the frame, and it only happens to some of the trucks. My buddy has a nearly identical 2022 HC that doesn't do it.
  4. Definitely not normal. I had my buddy ride in my truck because he didn't believe me that there was a problem. When it happened, he was amazed. We have identical trucks but his isn't like this. My only thought is something went wrong with where the door latch or hinges are located on some of the trucks.
  5. Has anyone tried this? It seems like the shape of the headlights is the same between the new LT and lower trucks compared to the old trucks. Would probably need that lower fascia piece as well.
  6. Not sure. I assume they basically reloaded the update? That's a wild guess on my part. But, yes, mine was exactly the same as yours after the first attempt. No light on the switch. Now that it's working the switch is light up "on" by default when I start the truck.
  7. Welp, I found it, at the top of the Collision/Avoidance menu. Alert Type: Safety Alert Seat or Beeps. Switched to Beeps, it works now. Just needed to look a bit harder.
  8. Where is that exactly? I've searched through every menu and I have not found anything yet. The manual states the following: When an object is first detected in the rear, one beep will be heard from the rear, or both sides o f the Safety Alert Seat will pulse two times. When an object is very close—<0.4m(1.5ft) in the vehicle rear or <0.3m(1ft) in the vehicle front—five beeps will sound from the rear or front depending on object location, or both sides of the Safety Alert Seat wil l pulse five times. Beeps for FPA are higher pitched than for RPA. So I guess the question is, what controls whether it beeps or you get the Safety Alert Seat pulses? I'm only getting the pulses right now.
  9. Took two attempts to get mine working, after the first visit the Park Assist button was not lit, and when I would go in reverse I would get the "Service Park Assist" error message. After yesterday take number two, it works. Only thing is there is no beeping at all, it only vibrates the seat, a warning shows up in the gauge cluster, and you get a warning sign on the center console screen also. Is there supposed to be an audible warning?
  10. I drove about 50 miles today with the trailer and it definitely got better, so it might be a learning process as you say. I don't think there is a way to disable them that I have found.
  11. I noticed today when I towed my snowmobile trailer (7.5x18 enclosed), the driver side mirror is lit up constantly for blind spot monitoring? Anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to disable it? Somewhat annoying, especially in the dark.
  12. Interesting, so it's an up/down movement. How did you move the door exactly?
  13. I wondered if the stepped flaps fit over the stock extended flap? It looks like that's what you have done but just checking to be sure.
  14. I've been annoyed to find that quite a bit of mud and other debris ends up on the body of the truck with the factory flaps. Thinking about installing the Gatorbacks, anyone have any luck with them? How is the install process?
  15. Had mine at the dealer for the Upfitter Switch install. Told them about the door, they were unable to reproduce the sound...shocking. They said the door was normal. So I guess the door bouncing around over certain bumps is normal. Seems like a flaw in the GM cab design maybe, since the K2XX truck was basically the same frame and it didn't have this issue.
  16. I'm trying to avoid going to a full headache rack setup for a plowing strobe light. What are people using for setups on these trucks, and how are you wiring them?
  17. That's a setting in the Chevrolet UI or in Android Auto?
  18. In my 2022 that I just picked up, I notice that I get zero notification of texts when I'm not in the Android Auto screen. Every time you start the truck you have to manually select the Android Auto icon. That part works fine. But I'm told that with CarPlay you still get text notifications if you're on the native Nav or Radio App. It would be nice to not be stuck in Android Auto 24/7. Is that just how Android Auto is or does my truck need an update or something like that?
  19. Just picked up my 2022 last week, noticed that I have this problem. Driver's side door. I feel like this is probably one of those things you go to the dealer and they say they can't fix it.
  20. At one point I activated the parking brake, and something definitely snapped and I could see the cable had some slack in it where it runs down the frame and is visible from the driver's side. A bit later I had my shop "fix" the parking brake. At that point the cable looked good and the pedal seemed to work normally, but I don't know that I ever really tested it. Fast forward a few years and the pedal still seems to work but it definitely has zero effect on actually holding the truck in place. Is there an adjustment or is this a deeper issue possibly?
  21. Yes, and you said a '23.5. Sounds like 23.5 isn't happening, they won't be here till '24. Based on the information we have right now at least.
  22. Ok so let's say it does come out a year from now. The 1500 trucks were starting to be delivered in Jan/Feb? When were people able to order those?
  23. But they said 24, not a late 23. The 1500 is a 22, even the revamped ones. I guess anything is possible.
  24. Great...so we are probably talking a year and a half before a 24 lands at a lot, if not more?
  25. Boy, that makes it tough. I suppose the smart thing to do would be to wait, although perhaps the new motor might have some gremlins too.
