  1. I had a quad-fold Fold-a-cover G4-Elite on my old Tundra. It was OK but definitely not water tight. For my 2016 GMC 2500HD, I also wanted a hard cover. Looked at the Retrax which they sold at the dealership, but ended up going with BAK Revolver rolling type. I liked it better because it didn't take up as much space in the bed - rolls on top - and because it lays flat on the bed walls which avoids those rails for installation which makes for a cleaner look and simpler with less stuff to break. I've had mine on for 6 years and am a fan, would buy again. Very seldom have seen any water intrusion. Newer version which has a different finish and rubberized grab sections instead of the felt on the older model. https://realtruck.com/p/bak-revolver-x4s-tonneau-cover/bak-80524
  2. Thanks Mike and GH - did either of you hear any difference in wind noise after the replacement? Know it isn't luxury car quiet from the jump, but hoping not to add more noise to the equation. I've only got 20K miles on my truck so the glass (other than the crack the dealer's mechanic put in it while changing my wiper blades) is in pretty good condition. I took pictures of the window surround inside and out, OEM glass label, placement of my EZPass Transponder and dashcam mount with a measuring tape (also printed this out for the installer) while I wait for the glass to arrive to I can compare before and after.
  3. I'm getting my windshield replaced due to a crack, glass that is being used is a genuine GM replacement windshield. It'll be replaced at the GMC dealer by their regular subcontractor that does a lot of windshields for them. Other than the brand of glass used, has anyone had theirs replaced and anything to look out for / check when done or problems you ran into? Any noticeable difference in wind noise after? My truck does have the big windshield mounted sensor up behind the rear view mirror which probably makes it a bit more complex as well. TIA
  4. I've searched past threads (linked below) to see what other owners have done when changing out the OEM blades, but didn't find anything recent so thought I'd start a thread to ask.... Don't drive my truck all that much (primarily and infrequently used to tow enclosed trailer) so the OEM blades have been fine unchanged since purchase in 2016. Last time out, it rained and they started really chattering. While I know I can polish the windshield for some improvement, the blades are likely due anyway after four years. I've had good luck on other vehicles with Bosch and higher end Trico blades. Very little snow here in NC, mainly rain when I use them. Anybody got more recent experience on blades specific to our truck? Searched threads ------------------------------ no-HD blade thread wiper chatter
  5. Mine squeals constantly, not just at startup and does it when it's bone dry mid-day (not wet) after driving for 30 mins+ as well. Sounds like it comes primarily from the passenger side front brake. I mentioned at my first (1k) oil change and service rep told me it was normal for ceramic pads or something similar and that it would go away - it was a Saturday and the guy had a huge line so I didn't push. It's loud and annoying and have planned to make a couple of videos to take with me at my next service in case they tell me they can't reproduce it. I'm currently about 3,300 miles.
