  1. Hit the tri 5 this morning, not bad for an almost 5 yr old truck. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  2. From experience, with LED headlight bulbs, you definitely get what you pay for IMO. I bought some off ebay a while back that were pretty cheap but looked good, installed them on my 2015 with reflector lenses and they were brighter than the stock halogens but didn't last long at all. After a while, the driver side starting flickering every time I used the blinker and then the passenger side went out completely. I ended up taking them out and putting the halogens back in. I'm in the market again for some upgraded headlights but this time I'll be paying a little more for better quality bulbs when I find some.
  3. Nice truck, what brand headers did you go with if you don't mind me asking?
  4. Since the swap to the new one, its been golden. Performance is better, gas mileage is better and the added growl is a bonus. I knew the growl was gonna be there though, I've been putting CAI's on all my vehicles, just never liked the big clunky restrictive ones from factory. I do need to get a tune though for my tire size.
  5. On a side note, I'm guessing the oil from the filter messed up the MAF sensor cause I got a check engine light after driving it for a little bit. I tried resetting the code but it would come back almost immediately. Bought a new one, swapped it out, good as new and I can now see the better gas mileage, I hadn't been in the 13s for a while and I have a heavy foot.
  6. Installed a CAI and my new front and rear brakes came in. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. Nice truck, loving that 3rd brake light. Where did you pick that up from if you don't mind me asking?
  8. Forgot to quote the post I was replying to... ?
  9. Swapped out my gorilla locks for a set of spikes. The key that came with the spikes fits the gorillas perfect. I like them, they give the wheels a different look. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. Mine was cracked in the same spot, guess you rest your elbow there too, and I got a replacement off eBay really cheap and it looks great. Easy to swap out too, took maybe an hour total, and that was going back and forth for tools and beer.
  11. Thanks bro, here you go. This is where I got them from, of course there's many other sellers with the same ones, but I usually go for the one with a good rating closest to 100%. Yeah, I was the same way, I even bought two different sets of LED bulbs and neither worked for me. One came with resistors I had to cut in and the others were supposed to have them built in and claimed they worked but didn't. Anyways, I'm happy with these and I'm sure they'll look better when I wash my truck... 12. Thanks bro, I was the same way, really wanted the factory LED ones but couldn't justify the price when these were half of what everyone wanted for the OEMs. I like how these are different too. Semper Fi Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  13. Installed new taillights last night. Was trying to go the bulb route with built in resistors but they didn't work out. So I got these off ebay. They look good and are bright even under my daylight LED yard light. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-LASFIT-7443-7444-Red-LED-Anti-Hyper-Flash-Rear-Turn-Signal-Brake-Tail-Light/123892367765?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Bought a couple of these for the tail lights and they didn't work as described, still have the hyperflash. I contacted the seller and they are going to send me an RMA to return and a full refund. They are super bright though and I like that but I was looking to not have to add resistors and by reading the description, I thought these would have worked out. So, I'll be sending these back and looking for a pair of 2018 factory LED taillights or something similar now.
  15. I actually had an issue with my brakes not too long ago after the recall came out. I was backing into a parking spot and it felt like I had to push a little harder to stop the truck, even then it felt like it still rolled back slowly. Luckily I didn't hit anything but after turning the truck off and back on after a while, they felt fine again. I scheduled my truck for service the following Monday and sure enough, they said the vacuum pump was going out and replaced it at no charge since my truck was still under warranty and took care of the recalls also. Brakes have been fine ever since.
  16. Finally got around to installing my dual LED fog lights. Had some beautiful weather this weekend so I got out there and put in some wrench time on the truck. It was a real PITA doing the first one, you know with all the trial and error but the second one went in a lot quicker. I used some brackets I got to mount the fogs and I used some retainer clips and screws I had lying around to mount the brackets to factory holes in the OEM housing. Now I can remove the whole bracket with lights without having to remove the whole factory fog light bracket. I still need to aim them a little lower but they are bright. I'll get some pics of the retainer clips and how they're mounted later as well.
  17. Just sent you a message about those...
  18. Yeah they are, almost blind out the rear view camera. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks man, they are brighter than the last pair of LED bulbs I had in there. Here's the link... https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-LED-License-Plate-Lights-For-2014-2018-Chevy-Silverado-GMC-Sierra-BRIGHT-SMD/223609072014?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
  20. Replaced my license plate lights with some LEDs I got off Ebay. They are bright. It replaced the whole housing, took all of 10 minutes to install. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. Turns out my vacuum pump was going bad so they replaced it at no charge, gotta love warranty repairs and low miles.
  22. Totally off topic, but nice engine cover! Love the stormtrooper...
  23. Went over the 50k mile mark today while driving to the dealership to have the recalls taken care of. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. Nice wheel/tire combo, truck looks pretty sweet, been thinking about trading mine for some chrome wheels. Would go better with my chrome bumpers. I want to color match the grill and headlight bezels too.
  25. Cracked it on "accident" huh?? LOL I'll have to remember that, maybe I can get a new cluster out of the deal too. Would make it easier to convince my wife for sure... HAHAHA
