Anyone here have problems with installing LED bulbs for the rear turn signal/brake lights? I bought some bulbs on eBay and they work fine, nice and bright which is what I wanted, but after installing them and the resistors on all four, with the parking lights on, my brake lights don't work. Turn signals work fine with the parking lights on or off and as long as the parking lights are off, the brake lights work fine AND there's no hyper flash. I couldn't figure it out yesterday. Drove me nuts!! I ended up removing the resistors for now and they work just fine, everything is normal except now I have the hyper flash. Any ideas??

I had the same problem when I did mine. I think the diode wire just wasn't making good contact with the pin, like you, after reinstalling it, it worked fine and has been since the install.

Ran the driver side through the e-brake boot and the pass side through the plastic grommet, just drilled a small enough hole for the wire to fit then ran it across under the carpet to the drivers side where I tapped into the dome light. So when the doors are open they turn on, when I unlock the truck they turn on. They also turn on if I turn the dome lights on from the switch in the overhead panel. I went with the smaller ones, simple bolt-on design and tapped into the reverse lights. Hardly noticeable and give off quite a bit of light, I'm happy with them. Got mine from the website, wish.com.

I knew I forgot something!! LOL I was gonna do one side first to compare, that way if I don't like them I don't have to double the work to remove them.

I ended up getting these off eBay yesterday. Hard to pass up for the price. If they're not as bright as I want, it won't be too much of a loss and I'll just order some other ones. Added some LEDs to the rear steps, hooked them up to the reverse lights, took all of about 30 minutes, start to finish. That includes mounting and connecting the wires. Reverse lights and cargo lights are all LED also, next up are those brake lights. I'll try to get some night shots today and post em up for those that are curious.

If the blue was color matched, I think it would've looked better IMO.

LOL... so which ones are you happier with as far as brightness??

What bulbs did you go with for your brake lights? I'm looking at some on eBay and Amazon but don't know if they'll be bright enough.

Yeah, I'm already looking at changing the license plate bulbs, brake and turn signal bulbs along with the front parking light bulbs also all to LEDs. Trying to decide on whether or not to go LED or HID for the highs, lows and fogs also, just can't decide. I've always changed them out for HIDs in the past but might just do LEDs on this one. ???

Finally got around to swapping out the cargo and reverse lights for LEDs. Man what a difference, in both looks and light output!! Could kick myself for not doing it sooner. LOL

Did the cargo/reverse light mod this weekend. Took all of about 2 minutes and it works great! Now I just need to upgrade to LED bulbs.

Hit the 22000 mile mark in just 20 months. October will be 2 years that I've had the truck...

I got my 50 cal aluminum antenna off ebay for like $25 and works great. Still picks up radio stations pretty clear when I listen to them, even the AM stations. I usually listen to music from my phone or SD card though. I got it more for looks.

Sitting in the dealership waiting area getting this recall notice taken care of and an oil change, tire balance and rotation and alignment. Just your basic maintenance really.

This past Saturday, me and my truck were in the Strawberry Festival Parade in Pasadena TX. I was the safety/water vehicle for my son's high school marching band.
