  1. New tires installed and they look and feel great. No rubbing yet either but we'll see Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. Ordered some new tires Friday, should be here today I'm hoping. Went with the Falken Wildpeak AT3w in a 305/55/20 from what I have now which is a BFG AT KO2 in a 275/55/20.
  3. Picked up my truck from the dealer today. The paperwork confirmed it was the condenser that had leaked AND they even replaced my battery due to a slow start they said, all at N/C to me. I only had to pay for the alignment I had them do. Now my AC blows cold again. I just have to return this other condenser I bought online now.
  4. Dropped my truck off at the dealer to get the AC fixed, still under warranty!! They put me in a 2018 Silverado as a loaner, probably to try and persuade me into trading mine in since it only has 35k miles. It's nice but the only difference is the front end, interior is the same as mine, can't believe nothing has changed in 3 years.
  5. I like tinkering with stuff like that too but holy crap! If I had the space to leave my truck torn apart like that, I'd probably attempt it but since I don't, I'm not. Great job though! I always like how one mod leads to multiple others once you dig into it. LOL
  6. Not for my truck, but the next one will be. Wired up this 6 relay/fuse box for additional accessories. Simple power, ground, switch input and accessory output connections. I've got a circuit breaker for the main power also. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. I took my truck to the dealer one time and mentioned to them that my AC had stopped blowing cold air. The one guy I talked to said it was probably the compressor and that the part wasn't covered under warranty and I would have to pay out of pocket to have it fixed. Needless to say, I told the guy never mind and left it as is since the weather at the time wasn't too bad. Well now, we're starting to get into the scorching hot temps of summer here in TX and phuk that shit!! I need some AC!! So I called the dealer again today and was told by another service guy that my truck was still under the bumper to bumper warranty and the repair would be covered. Hearing this great news I proceeded to make an appointment for this Thursday, first thing in the morning to drop it off. So I'm guessing that depending on who you talk to at the dealership, and the mileage on your truck, they will in fact cover the cost and repair under warranty. Granted, I don't think I should have had to speak or call multiple times for the same issue but in the end, GM is fixing it and covering the cost so I'm good with that. Here's a pic of where my condenser leaked from. It was more noticeable yesterday before it rained over here. You can still see on the side where it kind of looks "wet".
  8. I was under the same impression. I was told that the 2015 Silverado would be the last truck with the 60k miles or 5 year warranty because they were changing it to 36k miles or 3 years for the 2016 and up model. I need to double check my paperwork but I swear that's what I was told when I bought my 2015 back in October.
  9. UPDATE: So I decided to call the dealership one more time during lunch to see if I could get more info. This time, I was told that my truck was still under the bumper to bumper warranty, which I knew the first time I called considering my truck had like 32k miles at that time, and the repairs would be covered, which is great but now I have this $100 condenser being shipped to me that I no longer need. Anyways, I proceeded to make an appointment for this Thursday to have it fixed. Figure since it's covered by GM, might as well let them fix it and it'll free up my time this weekend to do whatever else comes up. Still considering trading it in though.
  10. Unfortunately, my 2015 Silverado fell victim to the same issue right around Jan I think. Luckily it hadn't been too hot after so I didn't think much of it until I started searching for the cause. That's when I came across all the thousands of issues and complaints for the same thing. I took my truck to the dealer where I purchased it only to have them tell me that they didn't have any AC service techs working on a Saturday AND that the part wouldn't be covered under warranty. Oh man was I pissed considering my truck only had like 32k miles on it at the time so it should have been covered under warranty. Anyways, I've filed a complaint and I actually found a replacement online for under $100. I plan on fixing it myself and then having a friend with mech shop recharge the system for me. It really sucks that GM hasn't issued a recall for this issue yet, I'm seriously thinking about trading my truck in for a Tundra after this.
  11. Not today, but on Oct 30, my truck turned 2 years old. Couldn't be more happy with my purchase 2 years ago.
  12. Yeah.... you win. Lol Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  13. Changed my cabin air filter. This one had just over 27k miles. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. Used the VHT night shade on my taillights yesterday. Had to spray an extra coat I really didn't want cause there were some stupid gnats stuck to them with little foot prints. I may strip them and do it over, but it doesn't look bad IMO. First pic is no lights, second is just parking lights, third is brake lights in early morning hours. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. That's a nice office setup... You might want to start a separate topic just on your PC. But that wiring diagram is done nicely too. Like you, I'm into electronics as well as customizing cars/trucks. It's what I love to do.
  16. Thanks man, I'd do it all again if I could. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  17. Played around with the VHT night shade on my third brake light. Wanted to see how it would come out. This is only two light coats, I didn't want it super dark just tinted a little. I like it, will have to do the taillights another day. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah, it was nice at first but after about a month or so we were ready to get another car. We had been looking but decided to hang on to it for a while longer and then look for another one. This hurricane was kind of a blessing in disguise for us seeing how the car was our only loss. We just got a 2017 Accord Touring and my wife is happy. Happy wife, happy life, right??
  19. Wife's car, 2017 Altima SL, was totaled due to Hurricane Harvey... so I let her drive my truck to work today and I have the rental. Man I miss my truck!!
  20. Drove through like 3' of water to get my family home safe. Water was coming over the hood but we made it no problems. I love my truck! Hurricane Harvey really did some damage. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. Not a mod but I used my truck to haul some water for my son's high school marching band... Truck took it like a champ, second year in a row, first time truck was still stock and the factory tires looked like they were gonna bust! LOL
  22. Thanks man, for the price of these compared to what the dealer wanted for the factory option, I couldn't be more happier.
