  1. I used the spring compressor from Autozone. I'll be honest I was really hesitant and a little worried but they worked well enough. Without my compressor to pull them in I don't know that I could have done it though.
  2. Just installed my 5100s on my 2015 Chevy 1500. I did the rears a few weeks back and finally did the fronts today. I installed them on the highest setting. Took me a while on the first side but the second was pretty fast. I took it for a drive and it's great. Firmed up the front but in a good way. My wife was complaining about how the front end felt since we've had the truck. Took it down some rough gravel roads, bumps, train tracks and am very happy with them. Going to get it aligned Saturday morning. It felt good but I know with any front end work to get it checked. Now to get my air springs and compressor installed on the rear. Just trying to decide on what to go with.
  3. Thanks for the info. Going to do them on the highest setting this weekend. Worse case I can change it later but I think it will be fine.
  4. I bought a full set of 5100s. Installed the rear and have been happy and impressed. I have been putting off the fronts because I am going back and forth on the level to install the fronts. I would like the highest setting but have heard that it affects ride quality and put them on the third setting then I have also heard it doesn't. I'd like to get the front as close to the back as possible in hight but I don't want the ride to be too harsh. I do pull a trailer occasionally but plan to install air bags on the rear to level the truck out. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Is there a advantage/disadvantage to using the upper lift kit over the lower? I've seen both but from what I've searched and read a lot of people seem to use the lower rough country kit. I seem to research everything and over think almost everything before I do it. I have also seen some that use both the upper rings and lower blocks. Just trying to figure out what is best.
  6. Ok. I know this has probably been asked and probably even beaten to death.... But I have a 2015 Silverado I bought a few weeks ago. It is 2 wheel drive. I am thinking of a 2in leveling kit on the front. I am wanting to keep this truck for a long time and was wondering if there are any down sides to doing this? I am just wanting to take out the rake but don't want to lower the rear. I will need a alignment correct? Any long term effects on the front end with only 2 inches? Also any particular kit better than another? Thanks for any input.
