  1. I was actually fortunate enough to find a member here who had chrome and wanted paint. We traded bumpers, grills, and headlight surrounds. I couldn't be happier.
  2. The bumper is the same. However, the black plastic air dam is different. You would have to obtain the chrome "mustache" and the air dam that goes with the mustache. Those two pieces would replace your stock air dam.
  3. That's the first time I've seen it with all the bug guts removed. Looks great! Man, I was a nervous wreck the entire week before Saturday. I had taken my brand new truck apart and hired the parts painted a different color for some dude I didn't know who lived 750 miles away! And on the other side of the coin, you were driving 750 miles to trade parts with someone you've never met and I could have painted those pieces with a Krylon rattle can out in the gravel driveway for all you knew. Turns out there was nothing to worry about as Cody is a straight shooter. Everything turned out great and I could not be more pleased with the results.
  4. Slammed94, no. The black bars are separate pieces but they are not meant to be removed. They have tabs that fit through slots in the grill. Once installed, a hot tool was used to flatten them from the back side almost like a rivet. The chrome bars on the LTZ Z71 grill are made the exact same way.
  5. I finished the facelift on my truck this past Saturday. I know that a lot of people love the painted look, but I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. Here is a before and after picture.
  6. JMiller, that's a great looking truck you have. Mine is a '17 LT Z71 All Star 2LT. It was a ton of work, but I am really liking the new look. I really don't feel comfortable unveiling someone else's truck, but I'm sure Static will post pics of his soon. He's got one long drive ahead if him first. About 12 hours.
  7. Mission accomplished. Thanks to our member, Static, who drove from his home in OK to my home in Miamisburg, Ohio to swap bumpers, headlight surrounds and grills. His truck is black, so I had my parts painted black before he arrived. We spent a very long day yesterday giving each of our trucks major facelifts. His turned out great and I could not be happier with mine. While we were at it, I replaced my Z71 grill wirh an LTZ Z71 grill then attached his chrome grill bars. We also installed the GM illuminated bowtie. I think it turned out great. Here is the new face.
  8. I just performed the DL8 to DL3 mirror upgrade on my '17 LT Z71. The job took me about 1.5 hours start to finish using the harnesses I got from PGamboa. Phil has obviously done his homework as this job was absolutely plug and play. Couldn't have been easier and the harnesses look absolutely stock. Power adjust, power fold, turn signals, puddle lights, and heat all work as they should. Well done.
  9. I have the 18" x 8.5" aluminium wheels that came stock on my 2017 Silverado. They need to find a new home.
  10. I am pretty sure you can't. That is the problem. So, I guess I have to find someone with a siren red truck who wants a color matched grill and headlights to do a trade. Crap.
  11. Here's a question. If I were to convert my '17 Z71 front end to a HC front end, where would I locate the chrome headlight trim? I can get the grill pretty reasonably from GM parts direct. But from the headlight trim, I would have to buy the entire light assemblies to the tune of $1500. Not happening. Any idea where I can find just the trim pieces?
