  1. How is your power steering holding up?

    1. trpower

      trpower

      Still tight after 8000 miles.

  2. Just curious how all of the fixed trucks are doing. My replaced box seems ok after 3 months..
  3. Ridiculous! It's simply unsafe. I've got little kids and they ride with me all the time. On the highway I'm white knuckling it so I don't run off the road. I don't want to give up my HD but I could probably swap my truck for a new 1500 crew with a 6.5 foot box. At least they have rack and pinyon steering. Not this digital assist stuff...It's disappointing. I really like my truck otherwise.
  4. Mine was rock solid after my gear box was replaced..now it's just like yours again. I'm getting very frustrated but do not want to move on to another truck. There's gotta be a fix for this. Please keep me in the loop if you get your back to normal. thanks
  5. Please do..I'm very interested in how to get this permanently fixed.
  6. can't see your video for some reason...message me and maybe you can text it or wmail it to me...thx
  7. Update again...After getting my entire box and pitman arm replaced the truck is now leaking again worse than before. He said it's probably a hose but who knows. It's back in the shop for the third time in a month.
  8. I really don't want to give up my 3/4 ton.. The crew cab and long bed are a must for me. They replaced my entire steering box and pitman arm...All is good for now. Did they do that for you? I do however think it's pretty pathetic that thy had this issue on a heavy duty truck. I feel as if I'm just waiting to see what goes wrong next. This is supposed to be the strong big dog vehicle. I feel like it's a fragile flower.
  9. Update...I just picked up my truck. Seems fine for now. Feels tight again with no wandering at 70mph. They wrote on the repair invoice "Steering box leaking fluid. Replaced steering box with new one. Replaced pitman arm. Tested, all ok now" I noticed that there is still fluid under the truck on the sway bars and plastic guard. Hopefully that's residual fluid from the last leak. If this doesn't work I'm getting out while I can. I hate to eat a few bucks but it is what it is. I hope it doesn't get to that because I really like the truck. Any reports of the 17 1500's having this issue? Or do they just shake lol? Thanks
  10. my truck is getting a new box put in today...I'll report back later
  11. Yes I made a mistake...They did perform TSB F...I'll ask them about the pitman shaft.. Anybody else get it permanently fixed and how? thanks
  12. I noticed my loose steering two weeks ago. My truck is a 16 with 13k. Wanders and has to be corrected. Pickued it up from the shop today after the TSB 5501c was done. It did nothing. Still feels the same...What should I ask for next? New box? Thanks... Also...do the 17's have this same problem?
