Well add my 2016 silverado 2500hd duramax to the list. Just took it to the dealer for excessive play in the steering yesterday 8/21/2017. Mine went from 0 play to 1970 dodge motorhome steering wheel slop at the 15,000 mile mark.
Service writer knew about the TSB which ends in F now. So, he told me they were going to do the required re-torque. Supposed to hear back from them this morning when they test drive it.
I've got to say I am not at all happy about this. I am like many of you, I worked my ass off to be able to purchase one of these $65k trucks, and come to find out they have a serious problem with one of the two most important components that make up a vehicle (steering and brakes). I don't like the feeling of being lied to and reassured that there is not a problem with the steering box. I made sure I notified my attorney, so at least if something were to happen, somebody knows.
