Was about to give away my faithful Garmin when I received a letter to purchase a map update for my 2016 Chevy Silverado. It's still under warranty so figured it was a scam. Why would Chevy charge for updates I get free with my Garmin? I paid just under $300 for the Garmin and get FREE map updates I paid just over $30,000 for the Silverado and they want $200 or more for map updates. What's wrong with this picture? If Chevy wants repeat customers they need to be a little more customer friendly. Free map and computer updates would be a good customer incentive.
