  1. I had the last update installed at the Dealer when they did a recall on the trailer wiring connector. I haven’t had to do the reboot since then but prior to that, it did the same thing you are experiencing. Still not perfect. Now when I start, there are instances where the last station I was listening to is lit but no sound. I then switch to another station and it has sound, then I switch back. Frustrating indeed. Truck runs good though, so there’s that.
  2. My build date is Y169.3.2 so I’ll give the local Dealer a call. Thanks very much.
  3. The hard-reboot has worked for me. I hold down the hang up button while the screen clears and continue to hold until it comes back on. I probably need an update as I’m still showing the I’m running Android 10. I don’t have On Star so I’m guessing it would need to be Dealer installed. Don’t really want to part with the coin to have it done. Do I even need to?
  4. Are you talking Sirius radio? As you can see the station, song and artist but no sound? Also, no sound from either AM or FM bands?
  5. Well I knew, but then I had been following the 10 speed rumors in the gas model HD for several years and pulled the trigger in 2024. This has been around the internet for a while but… When we were camping last January the family’s tow vehicle next to us was a Chevy 2500HD. We commented on each others choice of vehicles and the biggest selling point for the guy was in fact the “ Allison transmission”. I didn’t try and correct him but I’m inclined to think the percentage, while maybe not 98%, is still rather high.
  6. Mine always has. I just back off a bit and it stops.
  7. Funny thing is my 2018 1500 was like that also. Always thought it was my fat ass and the fuel tank. When towing, I leveled it off with the air bags.
  8. Late on this but… Running 60 psi in the front tires and 65 psi in the rear, the front measures 40-3/4” on both wheels. (20” OEM tires) The back measures 41-1/2 on the RR and 41-3/4” on the LR. Point?……… It’s pretty damn flat side to side.
  9. On my 1500, I bought a second stock pan and had a “bung” welded on a bottom corner. This allowed for a very good drain. In dropping that pan (only once) I used the “ remove the exhaust hangers method” and had plenty of room to work. Not sure how well it would work on the 2500.
  10. That mirrors my 2024 other than I have 18K mileage wise. Taking a cruise out to Wyoming this month with our travel trailer and will change the trans fluid on return. I had a trans drain plug added to my 2018 1500 and I’m leaning in the same direction with the 2500.
  11. 9 metrics but who’s counting. Still, a nice addition and easier to see (for me anyway) than having to “estimate” from the factory gauges.
  12. Shitty gas mileage, oil consumption is “questionable but…. it is a nice all around powerplant. I’m enjoying mine a lot. Trans wise, the jury is still out but the motor is very nice. It’s the nicest truck I’ve ever owned. I hope it stays that way.
  13. Mine does. I cannot speak beyond 2024.
  14. Not sure if this even fits what you’re looking for but, I running the Scan Gauge III. It will give you codes and the ability to clear same but its basic ability is to provide real time engine operation parameters. Maybe not what you are seeking. It’s hardwired and so far, has worked very well on my 2024.
  15. Just a follow up on this thread. my XM lost signal when restarting after a short trip and a 10 minute stay. I sent a “refresh request” via text, sat in the hot sun for 18 minutes while keeping the radio active and then went inside. After a short time, 10 minutes maybe, I went back out and cranked up the truck. Sirius was back on and it took a few moments to reload my favorite (presets). I have a feeling there are other issues here that might require some form of update from the Dealer. In checking for updates, I receive the message that I have the latest update(s) while showing the last update was in December 2023. I’m guessing that was Factory installed.
  16. Mine did the same thing a few weeks ago. Called Sirius and had them send a refresh signal. Works fine once again. I believe you can text also for a refresh but I’m old school and called.
  17. Post whoring here. I really liked the 2024 Auburn Metallic color but could not find one when I was looking. I thought it was a very classy color. Guess I was very wrong as it was discontinued mid year. Bought a Lakeshore Blue and became happy as there really are not many (any?) in my neck of the woods. I’m just not bubba enough I guess. Maybe 2027????
  18. Well I’m late to this dance so I won’t repeat what has already been posted. I do like my truck a lot. I do tow both a small travel trailer (7K) and a 4.5K boat. You can’t compare the diesel to the gas when it comes to engine braking and that, in my opinion is the best case for a Duramax, if you tow in the mountains. Otherwise, I love pouring in regular fuel but wished I had gone with the LTZ to get LED head lighting. I’m old and my eyes don’t like the dark, unless they are closed. I’m looking to spend some coin on a system that will fit the LT grill, which is again, another like for me compared to the LTZ unit. Good luck.
  19. My 2024 looks somewhat similar. There was a thread or two about this some time ago.
  20. Well I’m the last guy to diagnose your problem but if you were holding a gun to my head, I’d guess you are experiencing the infamous “valve body syndrome”. Please remember, I’m making this guess based on threads I’ve read on this Forum.
  21. The post right above you reveals the “secret” for hands free ops without a plan. This works for droid phones but I can’t speak for Apple products. I’ll guess it works for them also. Going out on a limb here in assuming you have paired your phone to your truck.
  22. All you want to know about catch cans. Page 6 has latest threads about the 6.6L
  23. I’ll agree with that in that I use that parameter to begin a new tire replacement cycle. Having spent my whole life in Florida, it doesn’t often snow (January 2025 aside) it certainly rains a lot. I like Michelin tires and they work very well in the rain so.. When they start sliding more than usual, I start shopping. I do rotate about 7500 and use the manual procedure as well as lifting at the pumpkin.
  24. This won’t help but…. I’m using the Factory set covers. Seem to be holding up well.
