  1. It seems to be the common theme here. I really don't think people take pride in their work anymore. I would feel like such a jerk if I returned a truck like that to someone. I"m curious what happens with this.
  2. I can't remember where I read it in my contract, but it says in there they will put you in a rental car. I'd look into that for sure. I don't think these headliners can be cleaned at all, they are just hoping you accept it stained. I was amazed Van Chevrolet (yes higher end for sure) let this kind of shotty work get through. I called GM back with my case number and i'm waiting to hear from my representative there now. I'm pushing for a rear window and reminding them about the AZ lemon law. I'm not letting this thing sit there for weeks while they figure out how to fix it. They have to reimburse them for the headliner, it's due to a warranty issue \ failure from the factory! Either way, not your problem..
  3. So I went in yesterday to check the repair they did. I asked my representative to check that it was clean and everything looked good twice. He verified all was good and to come down. I show up and the first thing he does is ask for my payment for the oil change \ tire rotation I brought it in for on top of the 3 recalls and leak. I told him I'd pay after we check the repair and inspect etc. The actual rear spoiler \ light looked perfect, they did a great job, all seams were straight and no excess sealant anywhere, perfect! I then open the back door and notice white grease in the form of multiple fingerprints on by black leather seats and the grab bar, very obvious! I also looked up at the headliner and there was still a pie tin size stain very visible. He assured me prior to coming down it was cleaned twice and all good! On a side note my windshield had a 2 inch crack when i brought it in and now that crack is 2 FEET long and needs to be replaced. Lovely.. At this point i'm pissed... I told them I expect a new headliner and for them to test for leaks again with a hose for 30 minutes before we put in a new windshield and headliner. They also told me they have not had anyone come in for a leak. This amazes me, they are a huge dealership in the heart of North Scottsdale in Arizona. BTW - Today is day 6 in the shop. Looks like I will be driving their horrible Chevy Trax for a while. hahah Smitty
  4. Wow that's nice! Wow I hope you get that deal. Would they just give you another 2019 or make you pay the difference to a 2020? This is what it states for AZ per the Attorney General site.. There is a limit on the number of times a consumer must allow the manufacturer to repair the car and the amount of time the car can be out of service. If during the covered period, the manufacturer fails to successfully repair the defect after four attempts, or the car is out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of 30 or more calendar days, the manufacturer must accept return of the car or replace the car with a new car.
  5. I'd take the 6\100k and drive their loaner car. I don't drive my truck on a daily basis so the impact is far less then the guys using them for work. If I had a loaner truck with this, now your talking! They aren't going to give everyone a 2020 option, I think that was pure luck, they aren't in the business to give away new trucks and take back old ones.
  6. If mine takes more than a couple of weeks to fix, I will live on social media telling people my experience. I can't imagine it taking 58 days! They can make a new freaking truck in a fraction of that time! Besides the window leak and the couple of recall items, I still love this truck! Anytime you get a first generation ANYTHING you should expect some initial bugs. I"m fine with that as long as they address the issues and take care of me in a timely fashion. I'm not doing their bug \ beta testing for nothing! 1st year models should get a 5 year 50k warranty if you ask me. hahaha
  7. Nice find, I didn't know that, thank you!
  8. I'm going in today to pick mine up after the sealant was applied to the spoiler \ light. I had a stain in the headliner which I told them twice to make sure it's clean.. They know I have tons of pictures prior etc. I'm not messing around with any BS on this. I spent a ton of money on this truck, waited years to get one and I'm not settling with anything less than perfect. I'll update later with what my results are. They said they tested it in a car wash twice and the guy sat in the back to check for water and it seems fine. This will be day 6 they had it. *crossing my fingers* I'm taking is straight home and putting a hose on it for a while. Smitty
  9. I would personally open a case if the window area was leaking at all. This way you have official record if issues happen after that 36,000 miles and hopefully by then they know how to really address this. It's a simple phone call that may help you in the future vs. having a huge issue for you to pay for when it's out of warranty etc. I called 1-866-790-5600 As others have stated, just keep documentation on this. Heck even if you just write the case number down on a piece of paper and put it in your owners manual for future reference it may help. I just got a call that they did the silicone on mine, they are going to water test and clean the headliner if it passes on Monday and hopefully it's good to go. If not WINDOW time.. Luckily the staining on mine was minimal and very tough to notice.
  10. Mine went in for repair yesterday 1/23/20 and the local dealership in AZ (Van Chevrolet of Scottsdale) didn't have any idea these leaks were happening etc. I educated them with the details on this forum and they got a call from GM with my case number. Thank you to the person (I lost the user name) who recently posted the window part number and their case number! I gave that to my GM rep and had them look up the case, I asked that they give that to my dealer so they have the PN and GM can verify this is happening to multiple people. I wish we had a sticky where everyone could post their case number for reference etc. It's one thing for us to say 50 of us have had an issue but if we provide case numbers, they have to respect that! My GM Customer Care number - 9-5767824604 (Mine is not repaired yet, getting the caulking now!) Previous poster (thank you) GM case number 9-50464569447 - (This one had the repair and window part number below) Window part number from previous post - Window - 84569182 - Window 16.464 N is what it says for description. See below for screenshot of original poster - I hope this helps someone escalate and get GM to recognize the issue a little more. Thank you to everyone who has gone through this process and shared their feedback! Please put case numbers if you are cool with sharing for others. Smitty
  11. I'm in AZ and mine just started leaking over the weekend - add me to the list 2019 LTZ
  12. I would video and take pictures of everything that could be messed up on the repair. make sure they know you documented it all and maybe they will be careful. If they aren't you can just reply the video \ pics. I'm sorry you are having the same problem, good luck and let us know what happens.
  13. Does the coax connection look proprietary or can we pick one up somewhere else maybe?
  14. Really appreciate your time on this FiatDale!
  15. Thanks for checking this out, I'm excited to see what happens with this! So the rear camera is $267, how much is the mirror? I don't recall seeing that (might have missed it). Thanks again! Smitty
  16. That's really cool. I have the extra sensors but not a trailer so I haven't seen this yet. Is this the standard view or do you need a special package to have that? Is this part of the max trailer package? (I don't have that).
  17. Is there any one with a build date before 10/18 that HASN'T had the problem?
  18. Some day.... Maybe a 2, no way I could fit a 6" lift in my garage! How much did the ride quality change once you did that? Thanks for your time..
  19. That truck looks amazing... What did that lift \ wheels cost?
  20. Is there anyone with an 8\18 build date that hasn't leaked?!? Mine is from Fort Wayne and 8/18 LTZ and I haven't seen it leak YET but it's only been in spray car washes. Luckily it doesn't rain in AZ but I'm a little worried about this. So sorry everyone has to go through this. Good top on contacting the district GM directly!
  21. Actually he stated that the dealer did it. It wasn't clear if it could be done over the air like like some of the other updates that were applied.
  22. If they can't make it look like factory new when you get it, I'd be throwing a fit for a replacement truck! Good luck, I"m sorry you have to go through that. Smitty
  23. Do you have to go to the dealer to get the software update to show the correct % of brake pad life or is this an over the air thing as well?
  24. I went and actually checked out a showroom today that had 9 different covers on display. If you haven't checked out the Retrax line, I highly suggest it. They are BY FAR the most expensive but they are without a doubt made better, offer a lifetime warranty and they just work really well! If you are buying a $40-70k truck I can't understand why you would skimp and put a $200 cover on it!
