Hmmm...not really good at this "About Me" stuff, lol!  Let's see...I've been a GM truck enthusiast since my first purchase of a 1978 GMC K25 with a very thirsty 400 and full time 4wd (and lots of rust & big holes in the floorboards...oh what a beast of a truck that was!).  That was my snowplow truck for a few years & then I sold it when the fuel was costing more than a mortgage payment each month, lol!.  Then had a 91 GMC Sierra K1500 4x4 for a few years & bought a brand new Silverado 1500 Z71 in 1999, the first year of the "new body style" trucks.  That truck was in the family until fall of 2017 when my daughter got in a major wreck with it.  Fortunately she walked away from it.  She now has a 2001 Tahoe & I have a 2002 Tahoe (so the GM thing runs in the family!).

Anyhow - a little more about me...I'm a former bean counter of nearly 20 years, having "retired" from my accounting job in the summer of 2017 to focus on the side business I started back in the year 2000...dealing in automotive rear view mirrors of all things (for those of you that may remember...this was on the Pacific Audio GM truck forum)!  It was mainly a side business until 2012 or so, then I started putting more time & effort into it to make it a viable business that I could earn a living from.  The business kept growing each year & it got to the point where God spoke to me one day & said I wouldn't be needing to work at my accounting job anymore. That was in 2014...fast-forward to 2016, where I put my two year's notice in at my former employer (yes 2 years, not 2 weeks, long story, lol!)...managed to find & hire my replacement quicker than expected, which allowed me to leave my accounting job in June of 2017 quite a bit earlier than first planned.  Since then I have been working full time at my own business, Bob's Automotive Mirrors & More, LLC, where I mainly deal in...yes...rear view mirrors (among other things too like backup cameras, factory integration systems, seat heaters, and so on).

So with that said, I am looking forward to being able to share some of my GMT800 knowledge as I've had many years of tinkering around with them, plus also share some of my rear view mirror knowledge, not only for the GM trucks, but for a wide variety of cars, trucks & SUV's (after nearly 20 years of dealing with them, you kinda learn a few things here & there, lol!).
