  1. I got rid of my 1/2 ton and I have a brand new in the box pair of fox rears for the bds 6” lift. If anyone is interested I can ship them. Make me an offer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Dealer just ordered a new latch for mine, same issue. Covered under warranty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have the fox coilovers and rears on mine with 6” BDS. Major improvement if you live in a state with crappy roads. Smooth pavement there’s no difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I had a similar setup in my Duramax and paid way too much for it. Pre runner use changes the whole game for sure, BDS ain’t made for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Find a coilover lift for cheaper that has the same quality. It sounds like you’re a dude with a truck that’s looking for a car ride. I didn’t see your truck in the thread. What are you running? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have the BDS NX2 on my truck so Fox isn’t the only option. Fox is their “upgrade”. I live in south LA and we have terrible roads and I find the truck rides just like it did stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have the BDS NX2 on my truck so Fox isn’t the only option. Fox is their “upgrade”. I live in south LA and we have terrible roads and I find the truck rides just like it did stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Which shocks are you referring to? The BDS or the Fox? Just curious what your experience was because I have 18k miles on this kit and zero complaints. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. This is an old pic. I’m still on stock UCA but BDS did release theirs so...maybe. I’m running the BDS Fox coilovers and I’m impressed with them. New to coilovers but they suck up the large pot holes and crappy roads pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I’m currently running my stock 20’s on my 6” BDS coilover lift with 35x12.50 ridge grapplers. No rubbing or trimming. I think anything smaller than the 20 will not work according to BDS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Ignore the video. That’s just a promotion for their coilovers. This was from the 6” lift page and those are the fitment specs for the 6” lift. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. From BDS website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I got my Fox coilovers for my BDS 6” installed today. Definitely an improvement over stock struts with the spacer. I live in a rural area with crappy roads and I immediately noticed the “jarring” from the bigger road patches is gone. Handling isn’t so spongy anymore either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Did you have to cut studs for the bora spacers? I had them on my Dmax and had to cut the tips off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Pretty sure we got crossed somewhere. I wasn’t trying to imply that the intake and exhaust would require the tuning. I may have misread or just took something the wrong way. Either way, I agree, it will be an expensive process to tune. I doubt seriously if people like me who have zero plans for serious mods will pay that price for minimal HP gains. It’s not like the diesel world where you can easily grab 200 hp with a couple bolt ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m aware of all that, I even mentioned it early on when I started the thread. This quote was from me asking someone else a question. He mentioned necessary serious mods and I wanted to know what was absolutely necessary other than intake and exhaust. It’ll be expensive, no more plug and play...I get it. People will always pay it though. My duramax had over $5k in performance although that was a much different return on HP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. List the sources please. I’ve spoke to blackbear, 5 star, and diablew which are three of the more reputable custom tuners and they don’t have anything written for the 5.3 with 8 spd transmission. They’re all “working” on it. What serious engine mods are you talking about? For the average user the only mods needed are an intake and exhaust. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. HP Tuners is offering unlocked ECM or you can send yours in. It’s already broke but no tunes have been written yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Diablew has something in the works. No telling what the final cost will be though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I had a 2015 Sierra 1500 and upgraded to a 2500. I deleted, lifted, etc and absolutely loved my duramax. Honestly, I’m glad I went back to a 1/2 ton and won’t go back to a diesel unless I need to. I don’t tow often enough to justify it and the added cost isn’t worth it. I went back to a 1500 this year and the only thing I wanted was the 6’6” bed with my crew cab. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Dig through this thread and I think I posted the final gear ratios in the 6 spd vs the 8 spd. The new 8 speed with 3.23 is identical to the 6 speed with 3.73. I personally have 6” bds and 35’s and haven’t lost enough power to care. You’ll be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. How is the shin attached? The BDS instructions state to remove a block if there is one. I also have the BDS 6” and never looked to see if mine are there. Y’all have me curious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. They’re dragging their feet on getting them out. I’m actually thinking of calling king to get a set. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Did they release them for these trucks yet? I’ve only found them for the legacy body style. Try chatting with them during business hours, they’re usually easy to reach for tech support. I also have the BDS 6” and I’ve been waiting for a compatible coilover that I don’t have to custom order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. The prestige and a sticker? Personally my RST is nicer than most trail boss trucks I see. Those black bumpers are atrocious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
