Jackwards

Bumping this to the top. Anyone else getting this once and a while pop from the roof? Mine is starting to do it more than once per drive now. Hell, even my 7 year old daughter said “what just tapped the roof”?

Somewhat off topic, but sounds like this group could help. Started installing a small sub/amp combo. Tapped in to that twist pair yellow and yellow/black in the passenger side kick panel area. After install all I have nearly zero sound from the rear door speakers (factory Bose set up). Extremely quiet, almost nothing but highs. If I fade it to the rear only, there’s almost no sound at all from the system. Fronts still sound great with no change in sound. Thoughts?

Please, feel free to flame me. It’s late and I’m calling it a night because I’m sure I’m missing something simple. Started installing the Kicker subwoofer it from GM tonight. Ran the harness tonight, connected (without fully installing the box), connected and had sound. Disconnected and put the box away for the night. Two questions: 1) ended up with a check engine light (P25A2- engine electrical / chagring system & C0580 - Traction control error) after everything was run. OnStar says there’s a charging system issue. Anyone else encounter this? 2) Rear door speakers have nearly zero sound. Extremely low volume, and extremely light sound (zero bass, almost all highs). Fronts sound fantastic. Sorry and thanks in advance for the help everyone.

I drive about 100 miles a day. I get one clear pop on the way to my shop, and one on the way home. Freeway, straight driving, normal consistent speeds. Sounds like something dropping from a tree on the left rear side of the roof. No trees in sight. Anyone had had this addressed yet?

Same here. About 2,000 miles. Was coming home from Tahoe and heard it, quietly, but it was there. Put it in 4 Auto and the noise was gone. Back to 2H, the ringing began. Glad I’m not alone, or crazy. Sounds like it’s time for a trip to the service department.

Bought my trail boss today. Used GMF. Specifically asked the finance guy about this topic for the thread’s sake. Guy laughed and said, “Makes no difference to us. Get the registration and refi the thing right away. It’ll save you some money.” End of story.

He’s clearly saying that what the dealer told you wasn’t accurate, not an attack on you. Take a deep breath.

Bumping this to the top in hopes more will share their insight. Got a call from the dealer I was working with today. The LT trail boss I’d been waiting for since the end of January had finally arrived. Beyond the current “Supplier pricing for everyone”, they wouldn’t budge a dime. I’m walking away. Anyone had had good success with any specific dealers pricing and/or Costco program? Thanks in advance, all.
