So I bought a set of Katzkin covers for my crew cab and figured this would be a perfect time to add heat to the seats. I was originally leaning towards going the oem route after seeing that WAMS is able to program the BCM. I am now thinking that using aftermarket heating elements and switches makes more sense financially. For the ones out there that have installed aftermarket heat kits, what did you use? Are you still able to clip the seat covers in the seat grooves with non factory elements? I would like to install the switches in the radio bezel like where the factory ones go, anyone done this and have pics?
I upgraded to DL3 mirrors and no longer need the DL8's that I took off of my 2017 Silverado 1500. The mirrors will come with chrome caps on them, and I will also include the mirror switch. I am located in Des Moines, IA and am asking $80 plus shipping.
I figured I should follow up my post from Wednesday with a picture of the finished install. Wish I would have done this sooner. Thanks again @pgamboa!
@Imcrazy that looks good! A co-worker of mine got a Truxedo Pro X-15 and loves his. I will probably look at those when I buy a different truck.
I completed my center console upgrade tonight! I purchased the console and harness from Phil, and couldn’t be happier. His harness made this swap extremely simple!
