  1. I finally bought after waiting 2+ months. I don't think we'll see deals/great availability until the fall. Dealers that had a lot of stock didn't have good pricing. I also noticed that some dealers have old stock vs newer production. I valued newer production as this is a first model year truck and there are some rolling changes - so I got one of the last ones to leave the factory before closure. When the factory restarts, it's going to be slow as they also need their part supply to ramp up. We may not see any 2020s built besides those that are sold order trucks before they switch over to 2021 -- which will limit the "end of year" sales. If you need a truck, and see a good deal (15-20% off MSRP), and it's newer production LF2xxxxx VIN, and it has the features you want without too many extras - I wouldn't wait as there may be a shortage for a bit. On the other hand, maybe the bottom of the economy really falls out and no one can get financing, and you can get 30-40% off as a cash buyer with a crate of toilet paper in a few months.
  2. I'd take a DCLB, Duramax AT4, bench front, carpet delete in a heartbeat.
  3. I wish GM gave the ability for a cap/tailgate/camper or trailer mounted camera on the rear view camera. The number of times I have so much stuff inside the cab I can't see is 10% of the times something in the bed or trailer obscures the rear view. I'd rather use the 8" screen for Google Maps than camera views. Maybe when they switch to the giant touchscreens I can see TTPMS, Nav, and rear view at the same time?
  4. Sad, that'd mean getting rid of my camera screen would mean I would need to add a phone or GPS screen. Putting the trailer camera as the rear view mirror would mean the upgrade to the 2020 would mean my external TPMS and external trailer camera screens would go away and kill the clutter in the cab.
  5. What sorts of towing MPGs are you seeing, trailer weight and type also being noted (ie enclosed trailer vs flatbed makes a difference). I am on the fence between this and the 2500 -- finally got to drive them both but dealer wasn't game to let me hook up the trailer...
  6. Is it possible to view the camera on the back of the trailer via the rear view mirror? IE have my maps up on the center display and trailer camera in the rear view mirror?
  7. The argument "you need to go to the bathroom anyways" is bunk. The additional range means for lunch you stop where you want to eat on a cross country tow instead of stopping for gas and food (not always the same exit). I've had the pleasure of towing with a 22-26 gallon tank and with 115 gallons total between expanded main and aux tank - it spoiled me even with a smallish trailer. Having a smaller tank, hitting headwinds, etc just isn't fun. With the 115 gallons we fueled where we wanted and when we wanted. Skip over two states for cheaper gas? no problem. Choose where you eat by what you want to eat, not what is close to cheap fuel.
  8. Anyone towing in the 7000-9000 lbs range care to comment? Debating between this and a Diesel HD - tow about twice a month, with a few weeks of straight towing here and there.
  9. Is what I see in the manual, which means the stuff in the pump and autozone should work fine? I also remember faintly hearing that if they require their brand for something emissions related, they have to supply it. That is the foggy depths of my memory from ~2011 though when I had a VW with DEF.
  10. Anyone have news on this bulletin? Anything I can't fill at the DEF pump at the truck stop is a non-starter for me.
  11. Good news for those who care--Titan is looking at making a bigger tank for the CCSB 3.0 Duramax. I of course get this info as I inch toward a CCLB on the lot . Of course I could turn that CCLB into an effective CCSB by adding a tank and bringing myself up to 70 gallons total. If the 2021 F150 offers an update to the 3.0 powerstroke that offers the 36 gallon tank and a payload equal to GM's mini-diesels, I'll probably head that way.
  12. How is the DEF usage looking on these trucks now?
  13. Another request: anyone put one on a scale and see how much rear axle weight on a CC+5' or 6' bed? Wondering how much rear axle reserve there is.
  14. Trying to figure out what an LTZ with tech and safety II works out to be in payload -- anyone out there have something close?
  15. That one is pretty heavy with the offload and premium plus. Interesting that tech pack isn't available on the SLT though.
  16. It all helps for my diesel forecasting. Local Denali 6.2 CC SB was supposedly 5475curb/1625payload according to the dealer, which isn't that bad either. AT4 was 5465curb/1535payload. Where are all the GMC forum members?
  17. Anyone have a 5.3 LTZ without Z71 that they can post curb weight/payload/GVWR on?
