  1. Good Evening, I'm looking to upgrade my driveshaft. i have a Whipple going in in the next few weeks and would like the piece of mind of an upgraded shaft. I plan on taking it to a dyno and would like t ogo over 100 if i so desire (track of course).I've read recommendations for performance drivelines 2 piece shaft. I'm curious what everybody else recommends. would like to have something that can handle high horsepower. anybody favor the 2 piece over a single piece? truck is a 4wd and is slightly lowered (3 inches rear 1 inch forward) any and all information is appreciated!
  2. I’m going to second diablew. He doesn’t do extreme cams or forced induction, but for what you’re looking for he’s perfect. I currently use him and the customer service is great and the tunes are pretty solid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sounds really good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. 800 isn’t so bad, considering my truck now idles at 550, thanks for the quick reply Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’ll be using this same cam on my 5.3. How is the streetability with it?hows the idle sound? Texas speed says you can still run the stock torque converter with this cam, and I’m hoping that’s the case Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I just went underneath on a cold start and saw fumes coming from the collector. But it does for sure leak on cold start, it doesn’t seem to make the same noise once I’ve been driving for 5 minutes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So, just installed Texas speed catted headers. All the connectors are that ball and flare fitting style like the stock cat back to y-pipe fitting. I’ve gone through a couple heat cycles and tightened them all up, clamps can’t be tightened any further. I think I MAY have a leak (hard to tell, it’s not the typical “tick tick tick” noise) or maybe it’s just the sound of the air passing through the tubing. I hear no noise while cruising, and at very light throttle I hear nothing. Past that I can hear a tss tss tss noise coming from under the truck. If it is a leak, how would I go about sealing those types of connections. Only thing I could think of is putting strips of aluminum foil on the inside of the band clamp and then putting the clamp on and tightening back up. Any thoughts or tips are appreciated. Truck runs great though! Definitely quicker! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So after reading about 600 posts in this thread, I sent Lew an email asking some questions, and will probably make the purchase at the end of the week for a diablew tune. There’s a lot of good info in this thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Installed the max trac 1” lower springs. Install wasn’t Terrible ( though I thought my spring compressor was going to snap) truck rides smoother, floatier ( don’t think I like that) and it sits about an inch- 1.25 inches lower. Perhaps they will tighten up as they settle. Overall I’m happy with the look, I’ll be doing the 1.5 inch lower rear shackles tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It adds a few more horsepower and a little more torque. If you do it with all stock parts, it’s cheap and worth about 5-10 horses on a stock motor. It would be better for an engine that has an aftermarket cam Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I’ve been seeing and hearing good thinks about this particular fluid flush, I’m starting to finally get some shudder around 21000 miles so I may take it in, it’s not bothering me, but hey, free fluid flush... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I did it for mild hp and of course, the growl Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Went ahead and ordered them. Also ordered 1.5 inch drop shackles for the rear leafs, since I’ve already pulled the 1.25 inch blocks out of the rear, that’ll give me 2.75 drop in the rear and 1 inch drop up front. Should maintain just enough rake to make me happy, and the ride shouldn’t be too affected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I’m assuming you tuned on 93? Or is that still on 87 gas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Has anybody had luck or experience with the max trac 1 inch lower springs for the front? Looking to drop the front of the truck an inch and 2 inches in the rear. It’s a 4x4 2018 Sierra CCSB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
