This might sound kinda dumb, but I'm considered short by most standards (5'8"). I have a 2020 AT4 and have the seat raised all the way up (fully adjustable power seats) and it still feels like I can barley see over the front of the hood of the truck. I don't have a lift/leveling kit or anything on the truck to raise the front end or anything. I realize the body style has changed with a shorter & higher hood, but it still seems like I could see over the hood in my old 2010 Chevy WT with manual sliding seats that couldn't even adjust up or down; I know the 2010's had the longer & lower hood. My dad used to have a 2013 or 2014 Chevy 3/4 diesel that also had a shorter & higher hood, and I could actually see over the front of that hood a lot better, not sure if the power seat was able to raise up higher in that one than these newer ones or something. Just wondering if there is any kind of kit to raise the seat in a 2020 AT4. I looked quick and saw some for manual seats; just wondering if anyone makes ones for power seats.

How do I delete XM stations?

Thank you!!! My friends kid set one of my presets to cool jazz, or kids bob, or something. I have all the presets I want, tried saving an already preset over the top of it, then my radio kept jumping around whenever I hit that preset. Been looking for a way to get rid of that one for a couple weeks ? -
I’ve checked out the Walcott website before. They don’t have much for newer model vehicles, and most of the stuff doesn’t look even close to factory. Appreciate the help though ?

Would you rebuy 2019/2020 GM truck?

I’m sorry to hear that ? My parents just lost theirs last week, she was almost 14; she had a stroke about 2 weeks before she passed. My girl is around 14 1/2 and had a stroke about 3 months ago; she’s recovered pretty good. Not exactly back to 100%, but I’d say she came back to about 90% of her old self. -
Looks like a lot of people have checked it out, but not much input so far ?

Looks sweet on the gray color truck. I went with black for body color, probably wouldn't look at good on mine; wouldn't even be able to see them.

New Style is Missing Something

My only guess as to why they got rid of the turn signals on the mirrors is because of the blind spot indicators. Every time you turned on your blinker you'd be getting the same light flash from your mirror that you new get from the blind spot indicator. That's just my guess. Losing the adjustable peddles didn't bother me; it always felt goofy with the pedals extended. It felt like the heel of your foot wasn't on the floor like normally is, so whenever I drove one with adjustable pedals I always kept them retracted the whole way, like normal, and just slid the seat forward. -

In all the Chevys & GMC trucks I’ve driven in my life, I never noticed that the steering wheel wasn’t centered until I started reading about the next gen models (2019+). I had gotten so used driving with the wheel where it was that when I got my new truck I noticed a was always driving on or really close to the left line lol. I like the handle, just miss the sunglasses holder. Oh well, definitely not a deal breaker even though everyone I tell it doesn’t have one, their instant reaction is “Seriously?!?” Lol -

She's my baby! She had a stroke a few months ago; ever since then I've been bringing her to work with me every day. That's why her legs have shaved spots, from IV's when she stayed 3 days in the ICU at the vet clinic, the hair just never grew back. Maybe the king size fitted sheet on the back seat, with the 2 small bungee cords around the head rests to hold it up, should be something to post on the MOD forum lol ? -
Tow Mirrors WORKING On a 2019!

Definitely! Just looking at the 2020 build options on the GMC website, I think it was a $500 upgrade, or something like that. -
Can I skip out on GAP insurance?
2020AT4 replied to Philipgonzales3's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Yep, but how often do you total a new vehicle? GAP only pays if it gets totaled. -

I'd definitely change mine for towing mirrors if I was hauling trailers more often. -

Yes. You do NOT have to get GAP insurance, unless you have some funky state law that requires it. GAP is a waste of money, that's what full coverage insurance is for. If you finance a vehicle, the lender is going to require that you have full coverage insurance anyways. -
Would you rebuy 2019/2020 GM truck?
2020AT4 replied to RE1's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Yes! I was originally going to get a 2019 AT4. I test drove one, and like a previous comment said "the seats are horrible!" Before I ordered mine I test drove a 2019 AT4 and thought the same thing, "The seats are stiff and uncomfortable, but maybe they're just so new and haven't broken in yet." I wanted a 6-1/2' box, not the 5-1/2' box. Apparently all the dealerships are mostly trying to sell 5-1/2' boxes because they searched a 500 mile radius and couldn't find a single AT4 with a 6-1/2' box. They told me I'd have to order one from the factory...no biggie, I wasn't in any rush; plus that gave me some time to sell my Ford Escape. Once I got looking at the difference between the 19's and the 20's I noticed the 20's have adaptive cruise control, I ordered a 20 instead of a 19 for only $250 more. Once I got mine the seats were nice & soft, nothing like the stiff-as-a-board ones I remembered in the 19 that I test drove. It's had a couple issues here and there, but the dealership has been pretty good about fixing them right away. I did have to get the entire nav/xm/radio/etc thing replaced within the first month or so of having it because it wouldn't turn on some times. It still has it's little hiccups now & again, but so does my phone, I guess. All in all, I've only had it for a about a year, but it's been a pretty good truck so far. My dog likes it too; 14 years old and she still goes pretty much everywhere with me. My dad even just recently bought a 2020 3/4 ton Denali diesel. His only complaint is that his trailering mirrors on his sit up so high they cause a heck of a blind spot up front. -

I think the sunglass storage was the first thing I noticed missing when I got my truck. Mine has the grab handle. -

Anyone notice the new style of Chevy & GMC's are missing that overhead flip-down holder for sunglasses?
-
I didn't really want to do the carbon fiber box when I got mine. Aside from it costing an extra 5 grand, sure you lose 60 lbs that should help with mileage, but you also lose that extra weight that you need in the winter time to let the tires dig down through the snow to grab some solid ground.

I've been piddling around the idea if putting a small CB radio in my truck just for poops & haha's; and nothing other than when we go on road trips with friends and we're in separate vehicles. It'd be better than the group texts we currently do while driving. We've talked about getting little handhelds but it looks like they still have a lot of manual squelch, gain, frequency adjustments, and don't have much for distance; none of us are professional radio operators or truck drivers that deal with that stuff daily. I did find a small CB radio that has automatic squelch controls and stuff all built in and still give normal distance. I wouldn't know where to mount it in my 2020 AT4. It'd be nice to have it hidden as much as possible because I don't want it sticking out like a sore thumb or have cords dangling everywhere. I like things to have that factory look, which is also why all the antenna ideas scare me a bit, drilling into stuff or have an big ole bracket hanging off somewhere that look ugly af. Then I saw this mounting option for an antenna that looks pretty close to factory (see picture) - same looking antenna mount style as the regular AM/FM antenna, just on the driver's side to keep that factory look. In all honesty I'd probably leave the antenna off most of the time and just put it on during those road trips. Any ideas for a nice hidden mounting option for a CB radio in a 2020 AT4? Any idea where to find this plastic piece for a driver's side antenna mount for a 2020 AT4, like the one pictured? (No idea the year, make, or model of the truck pictured)

2019 External Antenna?
2020AT4 replied to ShamrockShooter's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Sierra's have the regular antenna too. I have a 2020 AT4 that has the same regular antenna, the antenna "pings" my garage door going in and out of the garage, but no real issues. My dad bought a 3/4 ton Denali diesel and it has the stubby antenna. Not sure if it's a Denali thing, a diesel thing, or a 2500 thing, or maybe just because it's about 6 months newer, or from a different dealership. Doesn't really bother me anyways though, I usually listen to SXM anyways or sync my phone to the truck and listen to something that way. -
Happened to me a few times within the first month of owning my AT4. I'd have no radio, nav, anything. Dealership replaced the entire module, trying to get SXM to switch my lifetime subscription over to the new radio was the worst part of the whole process. Even after it getting it replaced it still happens once in awhile. Seems to go back to working when I push the physical home button below the display (not the touch screen one, but the one that is to the right of the volume knob.)

6.2 makes a ticking sound, see video
2020AT4 replied to gmdog2's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
My 2020 AT4 with the 6.2 is making the same noise, except mine starts making the noise once the engine is warmed up. I took it to the dealership and they told me it was normal on the new models. I literally just made a post about this before I came across yours.
