    So what I’m hearing is the Pulsar is an overpriced “investment” that may or may not make a DFM truck run better, but there’s a high chance of computer glitches. It’s bad enough that the guys at Range Technology won’t even make us a simple DFM disable (6.2 10-speed), but instead they release our only option - the Pulsar LT. However, it’s way more expensive AND not even reliable. Such BS.

    I switched to Mobil 1 0W30 two oil changes ago and the 6.2 is running smoother and quieter than ever.

    Well that settles it… I won’t be getting the Pulsar to shut off DFM… there’s still no other options out there for 6.2/10spd trucks?

    So just to confirm, these lifters won’t fail if we disable DFM? And the only way to do that is via aftermarket tuners?

    Ya that sucks, and by the looks of it GM isn’t doing anything about these issues… customer service is dead.

    I just got this too when I started my truck. I turned the truck off and back on and what do you know the message just went away. Is this safe to drive? Does GM have a fix yet? My truck is a 2020 Trail Boss LT 6.2L crew cab short box.

    Customer service is no longer a thing these days. Hopefully there will be some aftermarket support that’ll supply parts to silence the squeaky GM crap. Does anyone know if there’s an aftermarket harmonic balancer out there for me to test out?

    I live my life a quarter mile at a time… if the groceries I put in the backseat don’t end up all over the front floor and dashboard then I’m simply not living haha! Actually I drive pretty tame.

    So does that mean if we disable DFM our engines will last longer without lifter failure?

    Disregard this thread… turns out the service department found I was low on blinker fluid. My bad haha!

    Just a thought I had… what are the chances that one or both of the factory-like vacuum hose connectors from the Airaid Jr Intake kit are leaking and causing this engine code? I know our trucks already have a true cold air intake from the factory, but I got this Airaid kit and only used the tube (gave the reusable filter to a buddy) so I could hear the engine a bit better. Everything else is stock, so it can’t be the intake tube, right?

    Can the dealership do a DFM delete for those of us who don’t want the added noises and shuttering of this “seamless” system?

    So the chirping squeaking noise we are being told by GM that “it’s normal” was fixed by replacing the harmonic balancer? How did you get the service department to fix it instead of feeding you some bullshit excuses?

    Update - The check engine light turned off on it’s own for some reason but I have a service appointment tomorrow at the nearest GM stealership to check it out. Hopefully they don’t blame my aftermarket tires haha!
