Good Morning All
I am installing my mobile HF Ham radio equipment and want to see if anyone out there has done so and has had any problems with RFI and the controllers. I assume GM has shielded grounded and otherwise made them inpenitrable.... but?
I plan on grounding the radio and antenna to the frame and will also do the normal testing and grounding panels... etc for RFI into the radio too.
Thoughts?
I just picked up a 2020 Denali HD2500 from a dealer in another state late last week. I have the "thump" just as it sounds in the vids. It was not noisy when I picked it up but it certainly was noticable when I first fueled. It now has 800 miles on the truck and it's very noticable. It does blend away at rpm. It is not a clicking ticking or even a sharp sound like an exhaust leak.
The compressor "thump" is the best description for sound I hear. The frequency is about 4-5 beats a second kinda like the firing tempo of only one of the cylinders.
I'm all ears as to what anyone finds.
