I’ve got an 04 z71 that overheats while idling in the hot Texas summer. Has suspension and 3” body lift, which has separated the radiator 3” from fan shroud (thinking this could be causing airflow issue?). Does not get over 195-205 when going down the road, towing, etc. I’ve seen old threads on this, but most folks seem to just throw parts at them (fan clutch, thermostat, water pump, efans). Yet I can’t find where anyone has found a reliable fix. Almost like they just live with it. Is this a GM engineering flaw, like the 2-3 gear clunk I also have?
