  1. I think I must have been into the pints ! Just re read the CAT scale numbers... I do wonder why your truck with a bigger payload ( almost 700lbs more ) and GRAWR of almost 1k more than mine has a Max gooseneck of 30lbs less. I see that the max is 16200 instead of 16500 on my 2500 but shouldn't you be able to have more payload directly on the pin weight with those capacities. I get that the limiting factor is 16200 which is the lesser of those numbers but it just sems odd, on the other hand I'm not an engineer by any stretch of the imagination !
  2. I know this is late but are any of you worried about the j2807 number being 24xx for gooseneck hitch weight on your trucks? I have another post on this but I'm struggling with possibly having handling issues when we get our 5th wheel. Pull trailers all the time ( horse ) and a 32ft TT so towing doesn't bother me.
  3. Thanks Another JR, appreciate the in depth info ! I was more concerned about coming up to the j2807 limit before this thread, now I feel the truck and trailer won't implode if I'm at the limit...lol
  4. I'm really trying to avoid that...... they are only 130k tho so you never know ....lol
  5. Had a 2017 2500 HD with 4.10 rear end. Hated towing a 30ft TT with it, hunted for proper gear all the time. Currently 2022 2500HD LT 3.73 rear end. Pulls the same TT with zero hunting around. Average 12 MPG since new ( 53000 KM ) . Routinely pull a 10k gooseneck horse trailer and 14k bumper pull hay trailer. Drives like a car when empty. Zero experience with the 10 spd but I am very happy with the 6 sp
  6. AndrewF, Thanks for the info. Seems like I'm stuck with a smaller trailer or get a bigger truck !!!! Chopper_Man, I did get the 2460 number from that sticker ! I Must say it surprised me to see that number , good bye Mid Bunk 5er !!!
  7. All numbers are from door stickers on my 2022 2500 CC LB Gasser. My questions is around actually towing numbers. GVWR 10650, GAWR Rear 6390, max payload 3473 but max GN as per SAE J2807 is 2460. I'm looking at 5th wheels but it seems that my max GVWR is 11150 ( 22% for hitch weight is 2453 ). I seem to have quite a bit of room for a hitch and gear. ( excluding full fuel and 300 lb for pass as part of curb weight ) Is the SAE rating based on RAWR max load to safely pass the tests? Wondering why it's almost 1k under max payload, assumption on avg gear etc being close to 1k? I'm not able to get an actual hitch weight sitting on a truck for the rv's I'm looking at.
  8. I treat mine with Krown every year. Its the only thing I will use.
  9. Hey thanks, only 1200 miles so no oil change yet. Here is the noise . Voice 010.m4a
  10. Thank you for the response. Appreciate the info, thought it was a service issue but seems not to be. Curious, Why does it make that sound?
  11. Consistent when engine running. Fairly fast rythm. 120 bpm ish. Loud enough to hear from anywhere outside the vehicle. Didn't hear it on last 2 trucks . But they were the 6.0 not 6.6 gas.
  12. Thanks, it's really low around the bottom of the belt. I can try and add a small video in the next few days.
  13. 2022 2500 HD 6.6 Gas. From day one there is a ticking noise best heard from the front passenger wheel area. Dealer didn't think it was an issue but bugs the crap out of me. Pretty vague I realize but any thoughts?
  14. That makes sense thanks. Hadn't noticed on the 2017 . Guess I'll have to Krown this sooner than later. Gotta love salt on the roads in winter up here
  15. Looking at the underside of the cab on the new truck and there are 10 holes on each side running the length of the cab. Can't see these are drain holes as they are plugged . Seems weird to have access ports that low. Any thoughts?
  16. I couldn't get advanced trailering. The basic one just says try again or cancel but it performs the test.
  17. I have retried it multiple times and still says it isn't working even though it is. What does the app tell you if it does work. I'd assume it checks them off as they function but maybe that's too much to ask.
  18. New 2022 just delivered and I was testing out the pre departure light test. It works properly ( lights, signals, brake illumination ) but the app says it is unable to complete. Anyone seen this before?
  19. I have had the 2015 and 2017 and only hated it pulling a travel trailer that was like a sail. Was more happier in the mountains than flats. Hate the hunting for gears but i usually keep the rpms around 2k. Having said that I haven't towed the camper yet or the horse trailer. Drives better than the 6.0 though. Smoother and very quiet. I'll do a review hopefully later this weekend.
  20. Thanks for the info. It was ordered without carpet so maybe GM didn't have it . Either way new mats are ordered
  21. Yup, Here is one I found in the driveway today.
  22. Not quite the weekend but here she is.
  23. Ordered June 24th and delivered yesterday. Couldn't get advanced trailer tho. 2500 LT CC LB gas.
  24. Is this a normal occurrence that the factory swaps this out? I prefer the vinyl floor for ease of cleanup around the farm and the salt doesn't eat through it.
  25. I have officially sat in the truck. Landed at dealership today. Carpet instead of Rubberized floor tho. Couple days to prep etc but pics soon. Did forget the bed view camera, used to a dbl cab so didn't need it Any way to add after the fact, not a big deal but a nice to have.
