  1. Did borla send you the muffler and the "resonator" muffler that goes after it as well? From what I understand the S-Type and attack systems share the same first muffler but differ in the 2nd one. How was the drone with the S-Type compared to the Touring?
  2. Yeah, if you have traction control and advanced traction off your going for a ride!
  3. Here is my '06 from a roll. She didn't even squeak'em! If ya can post up a video of what yours can do. Oh I know all about that! I still have my '06 silverado 5.3, 4.10 gears, cold air, MBRP exhaust with cats deleted and a Diablo tune, that I bought brand new in July of 2006. She goes for what she is....but it still won't light them up from a roll.
  4. Oh I know all about that! I still have my '06 silverado 5.3, 4.10 gears, cold air, MBRP exhaust with cats deleted and a Diablo tune with as tq management turned off, that I bought brand new in July of 2006. She goes for what she is....but it still won't light them up from a roll.
  5. Thanks. No brake tq here! Just letting off the brake till it it 5 mph and nailing it. You can brake tq a 4 banger and make it spin. All I know is my 2020 Trail Boss with the 5.3 would only chirp the tires from a dead stop. If I was rolling like I was in the video...it would have never spun or even chirped them. If you can take your 5.3 from a roll, nail it and break the tires loose through 1st and 2nd... I want to see it! Post up a video.
  6. You ain't gonna do this with a 5.3 or 3.0 diesel. This is from a roll, it lit those Duratracs up through 1st and 2nd gear. The only mods I have are a Corsa cold air intake and the GMPP Borla Touring exhaust.
  7. It sure sounds like it to me. I would park it and have the dealer come pick it up.
  8. On the video TFL trucks put out the Zr2 looks to have the exact same front upper and lower control arms as the 2019-2021's and they have the same 2" factory lift as the trail boss. The only difference I saw was the rear leaf spring pack had a few more leafs in it. It seems to me that the DSSV shocks would bolt right in a 2019-2021 truck! It also would seem to me that the factory UCA's are tougher than we think.
  9. Your right. My bad. It was 3am. When I first watched this. I thought they were talking about the diesel.
  10. The first one must have been leaked. This one is still up.
  11. I have to say... the Zr2 looks sick! I'm happy GM used the DSSV Multimatic shocks, and added front and rear lockers, but only a n/a 6.2??? Come on there should have at least been a supercharger on there for sure!!! The interior is better that I thought it would be, but that console shifter is terrible, looks like something out of a Dodge. Also, I'm not too crazy about front of the non-Zr2 trucks either. Another thing I don't understand is why would GM put the 8 speed transmission behind the high output 3.0 diesel?? I would take the old version with the 10 speed all day long! Let me
  12. I have the GMPP aka Borla touring system, but if I hadn't got a smoking deal on it I was going to go with this muffler. Banks always makes top of the line products and I have no doubt this is muffler is no exception. It has a chamber in the muffler to eliminate drone. For 300 bucks it's much cheaper that the Borla and worth trying in my opinion. https://www.bankspower.com/i-955-exhaust-muffler-stainless-steel-3-5-inch-inlet-and-outlet-for-2005-2016-ford-truck-6-8l-6-2l-and-chevy-6-0l-6-2l.html
  13. Sorry it took so long my contact was on vacation. Your engine was built in Spring Hill Tennessee.
  14. I have a video of a cold start in cab and some steady cruising where I experienced drone with my old system and have none with the Borla Touring GMPP system.
  15. St. Catherine's in Canada does as well. Let me ask an engineer. It's stumping me. I'm just a lowly pipefitter!
  16. Are you sure the first letter is a N? It could be a M for Mexico. That is what my 2020 5.3 was. The rest of it is just sequence #'s.
  17. Here is a cold start and some revs. with my 6.2 and the GMPP exhaust.
  18. 2 totally different problems here. The first was a bad batch of valve springs that were breaking causing the valve to possible drop into the cylinder. This latest one is a spring inside the lifter fails that allows it to collapse when the DFM is active.
