  1. Well I took the ZR2 to the local 1/8 mile track tonight. The conditions weren't ideal being that it was 90° and humid but she did pretty good. The only mod is the GMPP Borla S-type exhaust. My best time was a 9.62 and I was able to hold my own with this vette!
  2. Do you by any chance have a 2000 Trans Am?
  3. I could be wrong but you have the 5.3. Which is only built at Tonawanda NY-T, Spring Hill TN-N St Catherine's Canada-K and Mexico which I believe is A. I'll have to double check.
  4. My ZR2 was built in mexico but my engine was Tennessee.
  5. No, it's the s-type for the ZR2. The ZR2 has turn downs under the bumper and not through the tips. This was the only exhaust GM offered for this truck. The Touring has one big muffler and the s-type has one smaller muffler and a resonator right after it. You will notice it in the video.
  6. I just got the GMPP exhaust installed on my ZR2. Pretty happy with the sound. Much better than the Borla Touring I had on my 6.2 Trail Boss.
  7. I had a '21 Trail Boss and really disliked the Duratracs. They were horrible in wet weather and not that great in the snow either. I have always bought. BFG at2 tires in the past. They are pretty quiet and fantastic in the snow. I recently bought a 2022 ZR2 silverado which has the Goodyear territory mt's. I must say...they are sooo much better than the Duratracs thus far. Wet weather traction is really good and they are very quiet compared to the Duratracs when they were new. Time will tell if they stay that way I can't wait to see how they handle the snow.
  8. No more lift than the Trail Boss Ranchos. Im pretty sure the ZR2 is higher because of the larger tires.
  9. The only difference I can see in the suspension, is the dssv shocks, and the rear leaf springs. It looks like the ZR2 has 2 extra leafs.
  10. I knew there would be an improvement in the ride coming from a '21 trail boss with the Ranchos, but I didn't expect it to be this good! They are nothing short of amazing. A very very smooth ride, yet in corners you don't feel like the truck is going to roll over Honestly the Ranchos are horrible. I had a 2006 z71 silverado that I installed Bilstein 5100's on. They in comparison made the trail boss feel like a dump truck. If you don't want to splurge on the dssv's the 5100's would be my 2nd choice.
  11. Others on the forum in different threads wanted this info
  12. These are the tags off the front dssv shocks on my 2022 ZR2 silverado.
  13. Picked mine up today! Out with the 21 trail boss and in with the ZR2.
  14. I don't know why everyone expected the ZR2 to be supercharged. It never has been! It's always been about a more capable off road truck or suv than a Z71. I think Gm should have just skipped the Trail Boss and equipped the Z71 with all the TB features. Offer the current ZR2, then introduce a high performance "pre-runner" type truck to compete with the Raptor and TRX.
  15. Well the only comparable truck, the "TRX" is rated at 10 mpg city and 14 mpg highway.
  16. Honestly, that would have kept me from buying one. The 6.2 had plenty of power for me! GM would have had to make it full time 4WD for sure and I definitely dont want that. My 6.2 has a hard enough time as it is getting traction in 2WD! The added cost of it along with the reduced fuel economy would have been the deal breaker.
  17. Honestly, I prefer the front of my '21 trail boss better than any of the refreshed models. What sold me on it was the dealer gave me 7,000 more than I paid for my TB, along with the opportunity to get the first ZR2 silverado. I only would have done it for a ZR2. With all the standard options on the ZR2 I think it's the best bang for your buck out of all the models. The only option I got was the Glacier blue paint. I placed my order on 12-15-21 so I was locked in before all the price increases. With my GM employee discount the price is 62,400. I really like my 6.2 TB but I at the time I couldn't get one with leather and that's something I really prefer. The new interior is amazing, and I'm sure the new front will grow on me. I just wish GM would have left the bow tie where it was.
  18. Ha! Unfortunately I'm in NY as well. Upstate though. The majority of the commie libs are in the major cities.
  19. Can't wait to get mine! ETA to the dealer is the 15th. I got the same color but the wheels with the silver and gold accents. I agree, I also want to change out the chrome "silverado" on the tail gate to black along with adding black "chevrolet " lettering. I also thought about going with a red 6.2 badge. First thing though is the borla s-type exhaust!
  20. I think it's safe to say the current 6.2 is most likely underrated! There were significant improvements made from the previous generation and somehow the HP and TQ ratings stayed the same
  21. The HUD was on a ltz I test drove before buying my TB. I could still see it but it seemed washed out. I wasn't in it long enough to play with the height adjustment. It is a great feature and I loved it on the 1998 Grand prix GTP I had back in the day. The only thing is when it was there I never looked at the guages. My thought was with these new screens... I would rather focus on them, than the HUD.
