  1. I did this exact muffler swap on my 2020 trail boss 5.3. Here is the link.
  2. I am very pleased with mine. It really makes it feel like a totally different truck. Honestly I dont think the price was bad either. I got mine for 405.00 shipped and tax. For the ability to change tire and gear ratios, top speed, no DFM or auto stop and then some. Plus being able to do all this with the steering wheel controls is huge for me. Considering that the fact that Range alone is 200.00....this is a great deal!
  3. What exactly fails on the connector? I had to file down those grey tabs as well. Once they were filed down the module engaged perfectly. It seems like a great design to prevent the plug from coming loose. If the cam is fully rotated and the red lock seated all the way in, I dont know how it could come loose.
  4. You had 2 fail on you?
  5. Wow! Thats not good. I think we got ours about the same time. I installed mine on Black Friday. So far so good, although I havent driving it more than a couple hundred miles yet. Did they give you any problems with getting a refund?
  6. Got mine today and installed it. I also had some issues with the white tabs that needed to be filed down for the plug to go in. Other than that I really like it. I set the throttle sensitivity to the first setting which is the 20 mph mark and it feels perfect for me. I played around with the settings while driving and made some adjustments on the fly, everything worked perfectly. It really makes a big difference in how the truck drives. I also disabled auto stop, the DFM and set the speed limit to 140. I'll keep ya posted if I have any issues.
  7. Just ordered mine! They have a holiday sale right now, got it for 405.00. What throttle setting do you guys find works the best?
  8. No more CEL's at all. Yes, those should work fine.
  9. To each their own I guess. Some people deffinatly over do it, but I think GM did it right with the Trail Boss. I always did like the flat black decal Dodge puts on the Rams and thats the look I was going for. Nothing to flashy, but subtle.
  10. I saw this on Ebay and took a chance on it. I think it turned out pretty good.
  11. Thank you. This is the paint I used. You just brush it on. It works great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IK21RFW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_dKwSFbKB6HAZC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  12. I did the 1" under no problems at all the only way the bolts will interfere with the CV shaft boot is if you install the bolts from the bottom and nuts on top. I have over 3,000 miles on mine and no issues. Make sure you get an alignment done after. Even if you only go with the 1". I thought I would be ok but the toe was off and the tires started to feather on the outside a bit.
  13. Mine prompted me on 11-8-20 to do it.
  14. My truck recently did a software update on its own. I was prompted to initiate it when I had about 15 min. to complete it. My question is does anyone know if we would have to unplug this device every time GM sends an update to our trucks?
  15. That stinks! I had high hopes for this. I was about to order mine, but I may wait to see how this plays out. Can you use the Pulsar unit to pull codes?
  16. No, that is just to unlock it.
  17. Come to find out I also had a vacuum leak in my cold air intake which was after the MAF. Put the truck in park and let it idle for a few minutes. If it doesn't have a steady idle you have a small leak. Buy some starting fluid and spray it on all the hoses and fittings one at a time. If you notice a change in the idle when you spray it on a particular fitting you have found your leak. If you dont notice anything move on to the intake and do the same thing. If you are able to scan real time data with a scanner or torque app you can watch your LTFT's at idle they should be very close to 0. With the leak in my cold air intake they would be all over the place, and start at 0 and go up to 20 and back down. When they would hit 20 the engine would seem like it was going to stall. The leak in the intake manifold was really loud and you could easily hear it when the engine was at idle.
  18. So I recieved the new 6.2 intake this morning and installed it right away. I did a manual throttle body relearn and took her for a ride. No vacuum leaks this time, and she runs awesome! The transmission shifted perfectly and the throttle response was much improved. I drove it all afternoon with mulitiple shutdowns and restarts. Zero codes were thrown and I am very pleased with the results.
  19. To clarify the crack was in the 6.2 intake manifold. Which is obviously after the MAF. I agree I think the codes will go away with the new intake.
  20. There was a hairline crack in the side of the manifold causing a vacuum leak which made it run lean.
  21. Well I figured out the problem. There was a hairline crack in the intake which caused a vacuum leak. So I ordered a new one from GM Parts Direct. $150.00 shipped. I'll keep ya updated when i install the new one. Lean is mean!
