  1. They have it all torn down they said they had a compressor but when the tech went to get the compressor off the shelf it wasn’t there
  2. Now this compressor is on back order until September so now we are looking at 5 months without my truck this is insane what’s next step ? create a complaint with gm corporate? Will that do anything?
  3. Keeps getting better I asked them to check the ac while it was in the shop for 3 months they basically refused and blew me off and said if it was blowing cold it was working when I picked up the truck Friday it was blowing hot air while in parking lot they drove it around the dealership and then blew cold and they said it was working fine today same thing , leave lunch sitting in parking lot blowing hot as air then go to drive away it blows ice cold immediately took back to dealer and demanded they test ac compressor it was the low side blowing weak they are going to replace compressor , I had to get another loaner help me understand why I constantly have to go over the service advisors head to get anything done this is an epic failure on all levels
  4. This truck has been to Maine , Montana, and Florida and everywhere in between insanely lucky 2 of 3 major instances happened less than 30 miles from home one tcm issue happened 200 miles from home luckily I had a friend close by to take my dogs and I home
  5. Well after 3 months and a new engine she lives what a process
  6. We are now at 10 weeks no updates just a big line of bs now they want their loaner back , all these trucks are giant pieces of ****** all
  7. If you drop the pan on the 10 speed you will want to change the transmission filter as well if not you would just be a doing a flush and fill and not removing the pan
  8. Yes they say they found one Michigan and hoping to get it in this week my truck has been on their rack 3 weeks with engine torn down they are motivated to get this resolved and off their rack
  9. From start to finish this looks to be at minimum a 3 month process
  10. Well my truck has been there 2 months it needs camshaft lifters etc for the tune of $9,000.00 my deductible is $200 the extended warranty co will cover this expense but I’m opting for a new engine that will come with a 100,000 mile warranty the after market warranty co will pay $9,000 and I’ll pay the difference out of pocket for the new engine
  11. Well I just got a phone call from the dealer. Thinking the call would be that truck was ready . Nope! When they got into the engine they saw the cam shaft was worn now they are having the insurance adjuster to come and represent the extended warranty company they will put their input in on a path forward we keep mixing old parts with new parts at what point and who is final decision maker on if u get a new engine
  12. Well I finally have an update , it’s the right bank of lifters the dealer worked with the extended warranty company to swap out both banks of lifters this will come with a 2 year unlimited mile warranty total cost of repair is $4900, I will pay $200 per my deductible on my extended warranty
  13. I have no idea what’s truly going on with the truck at this point all I know is they plug it up last week and stated misfire on cyl 8, other than that the truck has not moved in the parking lot all week per onstar id imagine it will be a while before they tear into it and get a true diagnosis then we will see what warranty co has to say thanks
  14. thank you new dude so when the service advisor calls me and gives me the report once they tear into the engine, the most important question to be asking is finding out if any metal shavings were present when they began the tear down process
  15. i’m not a mechanic so bear with me at what point under warranty does dealer decide to just replace lifters , cams etc vs replace entire engine what factors play into that decision my thought process is you keep mixing old parts to new parts etc im in some what of a similar position and wanted some help with insight thank you
  16. yes sir , back in 21 they only replaced the failed side they would not replace both sides
  17. The dealer just called and stated the misfire was occurring on cylinder number 8 They will start the breakdown process next week The original issue in 2021 was on cylinder number 1 and that bank of lifters, pushrods etc was replaced when the truck had 9,000 miles on it So if I understand this correctly this would the opposite bank and be the factory lifters from 2021 He was also going to get with the warranty company on this repair
  18. *the dealer is paying for the loaner which is a brand new elevation with the 3.0 dmax
  19. when I bought the truck new in january of 21 they offered me 0% or 2.5% that came with a 4 year 125,000 warranty bumper to bumper this should be covered under warranty I believe that warranty has a $750 deductible stay tuned for me details
  20. just wanted to give an update on my 21 at4 that has the 6.2 liter im writing the review while fresh on my mind one bank of lifter went out and were replaced at 9,000 miles and now yesterday lifters went down again at 99,000 miles i’m in a loaner from dealer I bought it from will be interesting to see if they were the replacement lifters or the original factory lifters stay tuned for more details
  21. the head tech of the shop got it on the lift , pinpointed the noise from transmission used a pry bar to find exactly where it was removed the mount and it was inside the mount and completely worn down and polished smooth
  22. can’t make this up a rock for inside of the transmission mount and was causing the rattle
  23. was finally able to duplicate it at the dealer with the shop foreman and service advisor the rattle starts when going over a spend bump and also made the same rattle when I shut the engine off and when I closed the door , it made the same rattle taking it in on tuesday
