  2. 2006 5.3 just dropped a remanned engine in, using my old valve covers.. found some oil in my intake manifold and figured id change the pcv,, only problem is that thing does not wanna budge. any tips or tricks on how to get that out of the valve cover easily?.. thanks
  3. thanks , i needed some insight, to make sure i wasnt going to F this up , the engine is out of the truck so i will probably just bump it with the starter a few times with a mechanical pressure gauge hooked up before install
  4. hi, im doing a swap with a remaned 5.3 gen 3 and im just about ready for re installation, however after finally get a hold of some 16mmx1.5 fittings for the oil galley and oil pressure sensor ports im a bit curious on the process even after much research im wondering if i should fill the crankcase with oil normally before priming the oil pump system? or should i just pump all the oil in through the galley? ive seen videos where i should pump through the system until oil comes out from the lifters but as i said before i am undecided if i should do this process after i fill the crankcase or prime and then fill crankcase.. much appreciation. thanks
