Hi, I have 2012 Silverado 2500 and I'm looking for tailgate assist shock recommendations. Recently I had a minor back injury that made difficult for me to open and close the tailgate. I've been trying to research of a tailgate assist shock and read some stories that some owners experienced the during install that it does not fit perfectly. Some shares the gas damper doesn't last long enough so he had to buy another one. There is this site that I read : ? Tailgate Assist Review - Best Assist Shocks For All Trucks - AUTO TRUCK ACCESSORIES (auto-truck-accessories.com) I just want to get real people feedback which is best and one that's easy to install.
I used to put my gun at the back seat storage whenever I'm the only one riding. But now, I bought a car gun magnet that's installed on the center console and it snug it tightly. The other things I love to do is hunting and I'd be installing a truck gun rack behind the seat. I am new to the forum and I haven't seen any thread here who loves hunting. Anyone here had installed a truck gun rack? I was doing a research and came across an article about truck gun racks and I'd also like to get opinion about it. Here's the article https://car-parts-home.com/truck-gun-racks/. I'm leaning on the overhead gun rack or the behind the seat truck gun rack. Any thoughts?
Normally if you go for premium oil, it's because of its mileage when you'd have to change your oil. But for me, I really don't mind using regular oil, as long as I change it every 3,000 miles. I use my truck as a daily but not as a heavy loader or use it as a truck per se. I think premium oil would be worth it for those trucks that are used for commercial and heavy duty purpose. Just my .02 cents.
I would rather go with new muffler (Borla) than do the cheaper route. It really depends on other perceptions but cutting the muffler is like going back to college where you want to save money but wants to have that great sound that won't hurt your wallet. No offense to those going the cheaper route. Your truck your rules. This is just my own opinion. Respect to other trucks!!!
All the cars and trucks I've bought brand new I change oil at the first 1,000-1,500. It saves me the peace of mind and for all reasons, these are the little things I make important as a priority before spending on other things like mods or accessories. I'd rather spend my money on maintenance changes. And if I have some budget for accessories and all, that's just my second priority.
I have the soft roll cover, it's easy to roll on and off. Even if I want the bed open, the roll is snug fit and I don't have to worry that it will loose. This is my first accessory I bought.
