  1. I recessed the tape about an 1/8 of an inch away from the edge. So the exposed metal will be coated, then applied the reformer as much as I can to every nook and cranny. Below is a picture of it painted
  2. I started sanding the burrs off and sanding as much rust on the inside. I wrapped sandpaper around a drill bit and went to work. After much progress I started taping it off the paint the rust reformer and get it taken care of.
  3. Super scary but I’m sure I can make it better. Below is the cut out and a look of what’s inside the panel
  4. I taped off where I wanted to cut out since I want to treat inside the panel. And out comes my diamond blade saw.
  5. Started with sanding down the metal and looking at how bad it is. Usually whatever you see on the outside, it’s worse underneath
  6. Took on a little project, started working on the rockers that are rusted up. Here’s a picture of what I’m starting with.
  7. Ha! Haven’t heard that before!
  8. New water pump is installed. But since I don’t own a torque wrench, I snugged it down until I can rent one tomorrow.
  9. Got the old water pump off and cleaned up the block for a better mating surface.
  10. Thanks! It definitely helped clean it up some.
  11. About two days ago I noticed a coolant leak under the truck. Looks like the weap hole on the water pump is starting to leak. Time for a new water pump/gaskets I guess. Purty new AC Delco was in stock at work. Picked one up
  12. And threw in a new tensioner, ac belt, and drive belt from ac delco
  13. And the new compressor next to the old one.
  14. ….another area I’m working on is the AC. After testing the ac we put dye in and charged it. It lasted for about two days and there was green dye all over the compressor.
  15. Another exciting mod to make the truck mine, got my custom license plate! Took about 4 months for the tax commission to verify with the VA. But It’s worth it!
  16. Looked over the emblem a little and thought about painting it. It’s got a little crack in the corner, so I figured I would paint it. If it looks bad I’ll get another one. Painted it with this texture trim paint. I think it looks alright and hides the crack in it.
  17. Then I installed the rear blocks and new u-bolts. Seems to work out pretty well. It’s not a huge difference, but enough to get it up there slightly.
  18. Added the keys…and the front was slightly higher than the rear
